How to Capture the Great Snowboar King

All Uproot Day 3 Locations

Location	Dragonspine, Mondstadt
Objectives	• Capture the Great Snowboard King

Keep Yourself Warm!

The challenge arena is located in Dragonspine which will render your character susceptible to the Sheer Cold. It's best to eat Goulash before starting the challenge and to make use of the Ruin Braziers scattered in the arena!

Inflict Damage with the Hunting Net

The only way to inflict significant damage on the Great Snowboar King is to use the Hunting Net on them. However, the hunting net will only have an effect if you use it while they're in a knocked out state or in a confused state while using the smoking machine!

Normal Attacks has Low DMG

During the Uproot stage, you can have access to your Normal Attacks, however, they will deal low damage against the Great Snowboar King! It's best to use it on the Snowboars that the boss will summon after some time.

Knock Out with Traps and Shields

The Great Snowboar King will be in an enraged state, which will render it almost immune to all attacks. The only way to bring them out of that state is to knock them out with the Hunter's Shield and the Traps!

To effectively use the Hunter's Shield on the Great Snowboar King, you need to either charge towards them or for them to charge towards you!

Lead the Snowboar King Towards the Traps

Since the Great Snowboar King is in an enraged state, it will charge towards you. Take advantage of that by placing yourself near the already prepared trap to knock them out. This will also expel or deal significant damage on any summoned Snowboars.

Avoid the Icicle Rain

The Great Snowboar King has an AoE attack where they will start stomping wildly and icicles will fall around the arena. You can avoid this by dodging away when a red circle indicator appears near you.

Defeat the Summoned Snowboars

After some time, the Great Snowboar King will summon two snowboars at a time, and they will attack, which will add to the Snowboar King's attack as well. It's best to defeat them with Hunting Nets or Normal Attacks immediately!

You can also lead them along with the Snowboar King towards the trap to knock out the King and expel the Snowboars at the same time!
