The Gym Challenge is just battling Team Yell

The challenge you must complete in Spikemuth Gym is very simple: defeating 5 members of Team Yell. You can use recovery items in between battle, so bring several items that you can use to heal in between battle for a smoother challenge.

Defeating the Gym Trainers

Each Team Yell member also uses Dark-type Pokemon, so if you have already prepared a powerful Fighting or Fairy-type Pokemon, it should be an easy few battles.
