In some cases, sun-centric teams will need a way to extend the sunlight's duration without wasting turns on using Sunny Day again or switching a Pokemon with Drought in and out of the field again.
Heat Rock can be held by these weather-setting Pokemon to increase sunlight's duration from five turns to eight turns.
Pokemon relying on Chlorophyll will benefit from sunlight-setting Pokemon holding Heat Rock as this allows them to be active in the field and continue pressuring their opponents for a few more turns.
