Flatter Competitive Analysis

Flatter is a utlity move similar to Swagger. However, this move is quite underwhelming compared to Swagger due to the fact that it raises the target's Sp. Atk. one by stage. Confusion's self-inflict damage uses the Atk stat of the Pokemon, making Swagger superior.

If you want to make Flatter work, we suggest pairing it with Psych Up to get the same Sp. Atk boost. Similarly, you can use it on an ally Slowbro that has Own Tempo as a support move.

Better utility Dark-type moves to consider are Snarl and Parting Shot as they offer more value compared to Flatter.

Flatter Locations

Flatter can only be learned via Egg Move, Level Up, or by Default.
