Competitive Analysis

Earthquake is a staple move for numerous Pokemon especially in the Doubles format as a way to deal with their counters.

Since the move hits all Pokemon on the field, Earthquake users are usually paired with Flying-type Pokemon or those with the Levitate or Telepathy Ability.

It is worth mentioning that Earthquake will deal double damage on Pokemon that are on the semi-invulnerable phase of Dig (when they are burrowed undeground).
