Will-O-Wisp Competitive Analysis

Will-O-Wisp is one of the strongest status moves in the game. This move inflicts Burn onto the target. And with an accuracy of 85, it is almost guaranteed to hit each time.

What makes Burn so strong is not because of the 1/16th max HP damage each turn, but because of the physical damage reduction. Burned Pokemon have their Physical Attacks' damage halved, making Will-O-Wisp strong against physical sweepers.
