Flamethrower has a 10% chance to inflict burn is one the most commonly used special Fire-type moves thanks to its respectable Base Power and perfect accuracy, with its usage extending beyond Fire-type Pokemon.
Many Dragon-type Pokemon can learn this move and use it to increase their coverage against Steel-type Pokemon. The move also has great neutral coverage when paired with Thunderbolt.
Most Pokemon that can learn Flamethrower can also learn Fire Blast, which boasts higher base power but lower accuracy.
When deciding between the two, it's important to consider whether you want consistent damage or higher damage with the chance to miss.
Flamethrower (TR02) is available to purchase from the Watt Traders in the Wild Area for X Watts.
The Watt Traders' selection of TM and TRs changes everyday so make sure to check what's in stock!
It's also possible to get Flamethrower (TR02) from Fire-type Max Raid dens as a reward for defeating or catching the resident Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokemon.
It's also possible to get Flamethrower (TR02) from the Cram-o-Matic, although the chances are still low even when using the right items.
