You can activate mechanisms by attacking them, so bringing a Bow character to shoot the mechanisms from afar is a good idea!

How to Rescue the First Animal

How to Rescue the 1st Animal
1	Wait for the Canine Bunshin to go to the other side of the Smoke Machine.
2	Stay behind the Canine Bunshin as you approach the cat.
3	Fire the net near the smoke machine and hide away towards the starting point again!

How to Rescue the Second Animal

How to Rescue the 2nd Animal
1	Activate the fireworks to lure the Canine Bunshin away.
2	Activate the Smoke Machine near the dog.
3	Approach the dog as soon as the Canine Bunshin are distracted and use the net to catch them!

How to Rescue the Third Animal

How to Rescue the 3rd Animal
1	Approach from the side without a Canine Bunshin.
2	Move along the water to the hill where the fox is located.
3	Catch the fox from behind with the ubiquity net!

Use the Thunder Spheres to avoid detection

There is a Thunder Sakura Bough near Ryuuji. Use it to gain an Electrogranum and fly towards the animals.

Other Thunder Sakura Boughs can be found in the area, and you can make use of them to quickly get to each animal! You can also use them to escape Canine Bunshin if they detect you.

Hit the Canine Bunshin with the Ubiquity Net

There are many Canine Bunshin in the southern part of the map, near the Fox. You can use the Smoke Machines in that area, but the smoke screen goes away pretty quickly. You can use the Ubiquity Net as a last resort to stun Canine Bunshin!

Bring Characters with Shields

Crowd control is always useful, but the heavier enemies in this challenge can't really be effectively sucked into an Anemo vortex. We recommend having characters with strong shields to protect you from hard-hitting Nobushi and Kairagi!

Go for Freeze Reactions

Another effective way to avoid damage is by freezing enemies. This is especially easy to do if you haven't completed the Orobashi's Legacy series and still have a constant storm on Yashiori Island.

Bringing Cryo characters with you will even boost your elemental damage with reactions like Melt and Superconduct!

Bantan Sango Case File: Mystery of the Black Shadow Objectives

Quest Walkthrough

	Objectives
1	Head to the Adventurers' Guild in Inazuma and talk to Katheryne.
2	Head downstairs to the Bantan Sango Detective Agency and talk to Sango.
3	Teleport to Tatarasuna in Kannazuka and head to the marked location.
4	Rescue the animals using the Ubiquity Net.
5	Use the Thunder Spheres and return to Ryuuji.
6	Teleport to Fort Fujitou in Yashiori Island and head to the next marked location.
7	Defeat all the enemies in the area.
8	Open the cages to free the two dogs and complete the quest.
