Power Weight is an EV-Training Item used to raise a Pokemon's HP EVs in Pokemon Sword and Shield, Isle of Armor, and the Crown Tundra DLC. Read on to learn more about this item's effects, how to get it, and how to use it when training competitive Pokemon.

Effect An item to be held by a Pokémon. It reduces Speed but allows the holder's maximum HP to grow more after battling.

Adds +8 to Max HP EVs

Pokemon who hold Power Weight will get +8 Max HP EVs for each wild Pokemon defeated.

Recommended Pokemon to Battle

Wild Pokemon give specific EV when defeated. When you are raising a Pokemon's HP EVs, battle the following Pokemon to gain more.

Power Weight with Pokerus

Power Belt with Pokerus
Pokerus also works with the Power items. So for the Power Weight, it will multiply the total EVs by two.

For example, if you defeat a wild Skwovet while your Pokemon has the Power Weight and is infected with Pokerus, the final EV yield will be 18 EVs.

Passes HP IV to Child Pokemon

When a Pokemon holding Power Weight is sent to the Daycare and lays an egg, it will pass on its Max HP IVs to its child.

You can exchange 10 BP to get Power Weight in BP Shops in Hammerlocke and Wyndon.

Power Bracer Power Bracer An item to be held by a Pokémon. It reduces Speed but allows the holder's Attack stat to grow more after battling.
Power Belt Power Belt An item to be held by a Pokémon. It reduces Speed but allows the holder's Defense stat to grow more after battling.
Power Lens Power Lens An item to be held by a Pokémon. It reduces Speed but allows the holder's Sp. Atk stat to grow more after battling.
Power Band Power Band An item to be held by a Pokémon. It reduces Speed but allows the holder's Sp. Def stat to grow more after battling.
Power Anklet Power Anklet An item to be held by a Pokémon. It reduces Speed but allows the holder's Speed stat to grow more after battling.
Power Weight Power Weight An item to be held by a Pokémon. It reduces Speed but allows the holder's maximum HP to grow more after battling.
Macho Brace Macho Brace An item to be held by a Pokémon. This stiff, heavy brace helps Pokémon grow strong but cuts Speed in battle.
