Competitive Analysis

Hex does double damage if the target has a status condition, which makes it a staple in most defensive teams that dish out status conditions. One move commonly paired with Hex is Will-O-Wisp, which inflicts the burned status condition.

Due to this, Hex can be a very strong move with 130 base power when paired with a Pokemon suffering from a status condition.

Hex Locations

Ballonlea

You may find Hex (TM77) in Ballonlea.

In Pokemon Sword, this is received from a resident in Ballonlea, while in Pokemon Shield this is received after obtaining the 4th badge.
