Tian Ying's clones leave behind expanding sand zones when they die, so you should pull them toward the edge of the arena before finishing them off. This keeps the center of the arena safer and gives your team much more room to move during the later mechanics.
The yellow tether AoEs from the marked players are also important here, since they can be used to destroy the clone remnants afterward. Keeping the arena clean will make the whole fight feel much less cramped.
Tian Ying will use Golden Staff Stomp to send out a circular shockwave that must be jumped over. Everyone needs to avoid this cleanly, because if the wave hits a player, it can create another shockwave and quickly snowball into heavy team damage.
Stay alert whenever he starts this attack, and be ready to jump instead of trying to greed extra hits.
When Tian Ying casts Golden Staff Cleanse, two players will be marked and new staves will drop at their positions. These need to be placed in a way that creates a proper enclosed safe area together with the existing staves.
Make sure the space is large enough for the marked players to get inside comfortably. A cramped or badly placed barrier can leave the team with nowhere safe to stand once the next mechanic begins.
During Heavenly Wrath, players marked with the golden mask need to quickly move into one of the enclosed barrier spaces made by the staves. Anyone left outside will take massive damage and can easily die.
As soon as the mechanic starts, stop overcommitting to damage and make getting into position the top priority.
After Heavenly Wrath, Tian Ying floats into the air and begins casting Buddha's Light, which deals continuous damage to the whole team. Your group needs to break one of the staves as quickly as possible to cancel the attack.
This is one of the most important checks in the fight, so do not tunnel the boss here. Swap immediately and destroy a staff before the damage overwhelms the team.

In Phase 1, your team needs to defend the three flags from incoming enemies while also dealing damage to the miniboss. Split your party so each flag is covered, then clear the mobs quickly before they overwhelm the objective.
Once the flag gauges fill up, players can pick them up to transition the fight into Phase 2.

Flag carriers are extremely important in this fight, so it helps to decide who will take the flags before you start. Once a player picks one up, they gain a permanent HP and damage buff along with a special shield skill.
That shield can block yellow attacks, and good shield timing is one of the keys to keeping the team alive during Phase 2.
Guo Xin will summon crossbowmen that fire red-line AoE attacks. These need to be parried, and parrying them twice, or having two players parry together, will defeat the crossbowmen.
Sometimes the crossbowmen will focus one player with yellow attacks. When this happens, the flag carrier needs to place their shield in front of that player to block the incoming damage.
As soon as someone gets focused, the flag carrier should react quickly and position the shield correctly.

In Phase 2, a circular wipe gauge appears beside the boss HP bar. This gauge fills as the fight goes on, and it fills faster whenever a teammate dies. If it fills completely, the whole team is wiped.
Clean execution matters a lot here. Surviving mechanics properly gives your team much more time to finish the fight.
Moblade soldiers are another important mechanic in the fight. When one appears, the targeted player must parry its Lightning Bolt attack, or the whole team will take damage. After that, the player gets trapped inside a wind wall with the Moblade soldier and must kill it to get out.
Other teammates can still help attack the trapped enemy from outside, so everyone should assist in bursting it down quickly.
Guo Xin's Blinding Shadows summons slow-moving lightning balls that deal massive damage to flag carriers. Because of that, it is much safer for non-flag-carriers to intercept or tank these when possible.
For the same reason, flag carriers should usually avoid handling Moblade soldier deflects if your team can help it. Getting trapped in a wind wall at the wrong moment can turn this mechanic into a disaster.
Guo Xin is at its easiest when everyone knows their job before the fight starts. Have players ready to carry flags, assign people to handle crossbowmen and Moblade soldiers, and make sure the flag carriers are prepared to shield the team at the right moment.
This fight can feel chaotic fast, but with clean coordination, the mechanics become much more manageable and the boss goes down far more smoothly.
