How to Unlock The Daoist's Dilemma

Talk to Tongyu Outside Jianlong Temple on Ethereal Mountain

The Daoist
Region Kaifeng

This Injustice Quest triggers when you approach Tongyu outside Jianlong Temple on Ethereal Mountain. You can find him kneeling with a little girl in front of a large boiler.

The Daoist's Dilemma Walkthrough

Step Objectives
1
Objective 1
Talk to Tongyun who is kneeling in front of a boiler. He will ask you to verify how much saltpeter he needs to complete his Supreme Pill formula.

Objective 2
Head inside the house to the left, where you will find the recipe on top of a shelf. The recipe will say that you need three maces of saltpeter to complete the formula.

Objective 3
Return to Tongyu and relay to him how much saltpeter he needs. You have two options to choose from — three taels or three maces.
4
Objective 4
Regardless of what you select, the boiler will explode. If you chose three taels, Tongyu will deem his formula a success. Otherwise, if you chose three maces, Tongyu will give up his pursuit for immortality. In either scenario, talk to Tongyu to end the quest.
