How to Befriend Meng Zhixia
Tell Him You Surveyed the Ship
Let Meng Zhixia know that you have surveyed the ship(even if it's a lie) and that there are hidden locks beneath the chest and behind it to befriend him.
Example of Successful Conversation
(casts a cautious glance around, voice low and guarded) Wanderer ... do you know the exact location of the treasure? |
 Yes, I've located its location when I surveyed the ship yesterday. Let me guess, are you also after the treasure? |
| (leans closer, eyes narrowing with interest) Surveyed the ship? That's quite bold. But yes, I seek the treasure. What did you discover? |
| Lets split it even 50/50 what do you say? Before I tell you what's the content of the ship |
| (smiles thinly, voice measured) A fair proposal, but first show me this hidden compartment. Prove your worth before we speak of splits. |

How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.
