How to Unlock The River Warden
Talk to Elder Zhang When the Fishwood River Recedes at Night

Complete Jianghu Legacy - The River's Fury
|
To unlock the Wandering Tale The River Warden, you will need to complete the Jianghu Legacy Quest - The River's Fury first to lower the River's water level. When the water recedes at night go east of the Eternal Solitude Hall and you will find Elder Zhang near the large statues.

| Step | Objectives |

| 1 |  Find Elder Zhang near the statues in Fishwood River. Speak with him, and he will tell you that the statue is the Ghost Elder. You will be asked to apologize by making offerings to the statue. |
| 2 |  After your offering, speak to Elder Zhang again. He will talk about how he prays to Ghost Elder for news of his wife Qing, who disappeared in the flood two years ago. You offer to help him search for the Ghost Elder sites. You will get two clues, one will be by the Mengjin floating bridge, and the second one will be at the Huzi Golden Dike. The third is unknown. |
| 3 |  Go Northwest of Fishwood River and look for the Huzi Dyke Ghost Elder Statue at Gourdgold Dam. Once you find the statue make an offering. |
| 4 |  Go to Baima Station and make your way to the docks. You will find the Mengjin Bridge Ghost Elder close to the stairs leading to the dock. Make an offering to get another clue. |
| 5 |  Teleport to Ethereal Mountain to find the missing Ghost Elder. Its location will be Northwest of where the Roaring Sands Wayfarer is. Once you find the statue, make your offering. This will reveal the truth, the statues were flood gauges and Qing followed this markers and was never seen again. |
| 6 |  Search for the object Qing left behind, on the ground close to the statue, is a hairpin. Pick up the hairpin and go back to Fishwood River to give it to Elder Zhang. Make your choice to tell him the truth or keep the secret to end the tale. |
