How to Unlock Second Wind

Approach Chen Cheng Northwest of Forsaken Quarter Boundary Stone

Unlock Req. Tale of Gold Leaves - Volume II

To unlock the Injustice quest Second Wind, you need to first complete the Tale of Gold Leaves: Volume II quest. Then, head northwest of the Forsaken Quarter boundary stone to approach Chen Cheng.

Second Wind Walkthrough

Step Objectives

Objective 1
Approach Chen Cheng who is standing at the edge of the shore. Come too close, and he will tell you to stay away. Use Meridian Touch on him to not let him fall in.

Objective 2
He will suddenly leave the area, dropping a letter on the ground. Pick it up and it gives a hint as to where Chen Cheng might go next.

Objective 3
Go to Tianjing Dock to find Chen Cheng, and you see him by the edge again. Use Meridian Touch again to keep him from falling.

Chen Cheng departs again, leaving only clues from the letter about a family member named Xiao Yu at Willow Bank.

Objective 5
Go to Willow Bank to find Xiao Yu, who turns out to be Chen Cheng's son. He mentions wanting to climb the highest point in Kaifeng to look for his late mother. You take him to the top of Beast Reverie and accompany him for a while.

Go to Hopewell Academy and find Chen Cheng standing at the edge of a bridge. Stop him once more using Meridian Touch. This time, he stays in place.

Objective 7
Talk to him to learn about why he wants to jump. The quest ends after bringing over Xiao Yu and returning the Letter he dropped earlier.

These are all the rewards you can get by doing Second Wind. The rewards listed above are the total earned as you progress through the quest and upon completing it.

Compendium Rewards

Completing Second Wind will reward you with Echo Jade and boost you with Compendium Points. Additionally, each reward track will reward you with an increasing number of Echo Jade as you hit higher milestones with your accumulated Compendium Points.
