Utilize Animation Canceling

You can cancel the animation of most attacks and perform a different action that best fits the situation that you are currently in. Animation canceling can be utilized in both PvP and PvE, and can be applied regardless of content during combat.

Use Martial Arts Combinations From the Same Path

Use Martial Arts Combinations From the Same Path

While you are free to use any Martial Arts combination that you want, it is generally advisable to use weapon combinations that use the same path, as they tend to perform better than other hybrid weapon builds.

Builds such as The Heavenquaker Spear and Strategic Sword build share the same path and are naturally synergistic with one another. This is primarily due to the fact that builds that have the same path share a resource or have a mechanic that benefits from one another.

Best Builds

Use Mystic Skill Combos

You can incorporate Mystic Skills into your standard rotations to increase your damage output. Or, you can use them to set up a long combo string if the situation allows.

While all martial arts can use any Mystic Skill, some are better-suited to specific builds since they enable unique interactions that aren't possible with other, similar builds.

Mystic Skills Can Also Be Animation Cancelled

Like normal attacks and some martial arts skills, mystic skills can be canceled by parrying or by using other skills.

As always, you can use animation canceling to get into a defensive stance and avoid overextending. Alternatively, you can use it to set up a devastating finisher, such as the Triple Jump, Mighty Drop animation cancel into the Guardian Palm combo.

Some skills have hidden mechanics or functionalities that are not included in their descriptions. For example, Touch of Death has a significantly longer range when cast while jumping or from an elevated position.

Devote enough time to mastering all your attacks, Mystic skills, and Inner ways, and make the most of your abilities.
