Wolf Maiden Best Companion
The best companion to bring with against Wolf Maiden would be Yuan Jin'gang due to his ability to stagger and deal huge Qi damage from a far with his Bow. He can cancel most of Wolf Maiden's various combos and can dish out damage from anywhere around the battlefield.
Take note to keep Wolf Maiden's aggro on yourself so you can prevent her from attacking Yuan Jin'gang and help him survive the boss fight.
Wolf Maiden Location
Found During Night Time at Desperation Ridge
You can find the Wolf Maiden by the eastern edge of Desperation Ridge at the southern border of the Kaifeng region.
Do note that you can only fight her at night time so make sure to adjust your in-game time to at least Xu (19) before you approach her boss area.
Found During the Feast Before the Beasts Side Quest
You can also encounter Wolf Maiden early in the game by doing the Feast Before the Beasts side quest at Blissful Retreat in the Qinghe region. Keep in mind that this can be missable if you have progressed the Main Quest to the point where Blissful Retreat is destroyed during Chapter 1 For Whom Does He Return.

How to Beat Wolf Maiden

Dodge and Parry Her WolvesDodge and Parry Her Wolves
At the start of the fight, Wolf Maiden will be perched on top of a tree while two of her wolves will start attacking you. We recommend dodging the wolf howls and parrying their leap attacks to easily avoid them and make Wolf Maiden come down from the tree.
Take note that once Wolf Maiden comes down, she will initially start with an unblockable gold attack so prepare to dodge this as soon as she leaps off the tree branch.
Stay in Close Range to Parry
Once Wolf Maiden comes down from the tree, focus on fighting her in close range to parry her melee attacks and whittle down her Qi bar to exhaust her for a huge execute attack. Keep a look out for her red attack so you can parry it and perform a counterattack, and dodge her pouncing yellow attack as this move is unblockable.
If she overwhelms you too much with her various combos, do not be afraid to distance yourself and recover health so you can prepare to parry her attacks again.

| Ninefold Combo | Wolf Maiden slashes at you in close range with her claw and dagger to create a 9-hit combo with a delayed attack at the end. This move can be parried and dodged when timed correctly. |
| Blade Dance | Wolf Maiden licks her dagger and suddenly leaps toward you while executing a flurry of slashes around her and does it a second time with a delay flurry slash at the end. This move can be parried and dodged when timed correctly. |
| Red Wolf Rush | Wolf Maiden charges her dagger with a red glow to dash towards you for a thrust attack and follow up with a dropkick. If you parried both attack successfully, she will perform another dash thrust with a red glow. This move requires you to perfect parry all three attacks to initiate a counterattack and can also be dodged when timed correctly. |
| Wolf Claw Combo | Wolf Maiden retreats and suddenly leaps towards you to slash you with her claws for a 4-hit combo with a delayed attack at the end. This move can be parried and dodged when timed correctly. |
| Leaping Fang | Wolf Maiden winds up with a gold glow and leaps toward you for a grab attack. This move cannot be parried but can bedodged when timed correctly. |
| Triple Dagger Throw | Wolf Maiden starts throwing daggers at you from a far up to three times. This move can be parried and dodged when timed correctly. |
| Blind Spot | Wolf Maiden dashes behind you and quickly rushes towards you with a red glow to slash at you with her dagger. This move can be perfect parried to trigger a counterattack and dodged when timed correctly. |
