Palace of Annals Bodhi Sea Ask the Wayfarer at Sundara Land Accumulate 6,000 Qinghe Exploration Points |
To unlock the quest Jianghu Legacy - Final: The Promised Light, talk to the Wayfarer of Sundara Land you will also need to reach the required amount Qinghe Exploration Points. To track the quest, select it from the Jianghu Legacy tab of the Exploration menu and inspect it to reveal its location and start tracking the quest.
This also serves as the campaign quest for Halo Peak.

Go to Halo Peak and climb the Buddha's Light Pagoda. At the top, place the Light Jade on the Pedestal during the Wu Hour. You can manually adjust the time in the menu to meet this requirement.
The door at the base of the pagoda will now be open. Enter the pagoda and use your Wind Sense to find the lever that will open the trap door.

To get both halves of the Light Jade for this quest, you will need to complete the Palace of Annals campaign quest for the Buddha's Light Jade: Yang and the Bodhi Sea campaign quest for the Buddha's Light Jade: Yin. The Buddha's Light Jade halves will be awarded to you the first time you finish the campaign.
You need to accumulate 6,000 Qinghe Exploration Points for the quest to start and appear on your journal. If you don't meet this requirement, you won't be able to place the two Light Jades on the Pedestal.
| 1.1 | ![]() Enter the Pagoda, use Wind Sense to find the switch that will open the trap door. |
|---|---|
| 1.2 | ![]() Explore the space beneath the pagoda. There will be a Buddha holding onto a mirror. Investigate the statue and you will find holes that represent accupunture points. |
![]() Use Meridian Touch to turn the statue clockwise and refract the light to the hole on the right to open the door, |

Enter the small passage and drop down into the hall. Solve the light puzzle by redirecting the light into the hole in the wall. Like before, use Meridian Touch to turn the statues.

Delve deeper by entering the cavern behind the statue that moved. As you are crawling under the rubble, the ground will give way and you will fall through the floor.

Find your way back upstairs. Investigate the sitting body at the front of the room. This will summon three Mechanical Puppets. Deflect their attacks to defeat them, and you will get a key.

With the key, open the door to the next area. Go down to a cave on the right and jump over the barrels to get a treasure chest. Go to the path on the left to enter the next area.

The next area will have another set of Mechanical Puppets to defeat. After defeating them, climb up the stairs and through the door.

Walk down the passage, and there will be a cut scene. Make sure to use the Hero's Tomb before you start exploring. Go down the corridor, and jump down to a lower passage. Enter the doorway and squeeze through the fallen pillar.
When you exit the passage, turn left and jump down where the chest is, and down again onto the lower ledge.
An alternate route is to skip the treasure and jump straight down onto the wooden platform to the get to the ropes faster.

Head further down and cross the rope to the other side. Keep going until you reach the end of the rope bridges. Be careful! Falling will lead to your death, and you will respawn at the beginning of the area where the Hero's Tomb is.
Once you reach the last rope bridge, jump down to a lower ledge, and another cut scene will play.

After the cutscene, the ground will start collapsing. Outrun the collapse and keep an eye out for quicktime events. There will be another cut scene at the end of the run. Continue making your way to the bottom by jumping down ledges until you reach the ground.
Once there, unlock the Boundary Stone for the Thousand-Buddha Cavern.

There will be another Buddha Statue with a mirror. Use Meridian Touch to turn the statue and have the light point towards the door. Enter the passage into the Buddha Grotto, and there will be another Hero's Tomb there.
Make your preparations and defeat Tian Ying. After defeating the boss, escape through the underwater cave.

Tian Ying is a boss fought during the The Promised Light Quest.
During the 1st phase we highly recommend using the Meridian Touch mystic art, as this can easily cancel his shockwave attack while he is channeling to knock him down for a few seconds. During Tian Ying's 2nd phase, he will eventually float in the air and use the Buddha statue to deal a series of wide AoE attacks throughout the arena, run to the edge to avoid damage. During the last phase, ignore the minions and parry the original.
