This is a guide on how to befriend Auntie Tian in the AI Chat menu in Where Winds Meet. Learn how to offer advice to Auntie Tian so she can get over her trauma, with a list of specific AI Chat prompts.
How to Befriend Auntie Tian
Encourage Auntie Tian to Ease Her Trauma
Auntie Tian is scared to go outside due to the trauma she endured for many years because of an incident back then. Encourage her to go outside by saying everything is safe like hiring mercenaries to protect her and roleplay giving her medicine to remove her trauma.
Example of Successful Conversation
 (greeting warmly, voice tinged with hesitation) Young Master, I haven't stepped beyond Heaven's Pier in so long ... With your martial skills, you must have seen the outside world. Tell me, are things safe out there now? |
 Why yes! As long as you follow the road and not stray far from it, you'll be safe. |
| (sighing softly, eyes cast downward) Young Master may not know, my name is Auntie Tian. I'm not a native of Qinghe. Years ago, when the Khitans fought in Yanyun, we were forced to the front lines. If not for a hero who saved us, I wouldn't be here today. Since then, I've lived here for decades without taking a single step beyond Heaven's Pier. Though I long to see the outside world, fear still grips me. Is what Young Master says true? |

| (straightening her back, voice firm with newfound resolve) Thank you, Young Master, for your encouragement! A person can't stay in one place forever. How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.

Алексей (Oni) about 1 monthIt seems she doesn't want to talk at all, since the plot has shifted from Qinghe to Kaifeng. I'm currently completely unable to find any dialogue options for building a relationship. I've spent a full day with her. She's either working or cooking.
