Unlock Worldly Affair Quest Woven with Malice
|
To unlock the Encounter Quest Moths to a Shimmer, get close to where Shan'er and Nan Weiqing are fighting. To trigger the quest approach the pair and eavesdrop on their conversation.
Moths to a Shimmer Walkthrough
| Step | Objectives |
|---|---|
| 1 |  After unlocking the quest, look for Shan'er and Nan Weiqing near the intersection. Eavesdrop on their conversation and use Celestial Seize to take the Ode to Candlelight from Nan Weiqing. |
| 2 |  Examine the note by opening your bag, then come close to the pair and read it aloud. Nan Wiqing will confess to being part of a group that admires the work of the Shimmer of South with Aunt Shan. Follow Shan'er to her home. |
| 3 |  Stand by the entrance and listen in on Shan'er and her mother's argument. Look for Scholar Nan, he will be enar the shore where the wooden pillars are. Speak with him and choose the following responses; 1. Like amoth to the flame, my days burn away! 2. Like moths to the flame, never ceasing! 3. Savor Parting Tears alone night after night! Nan will speak of a Cocoon Master if you get all the correct answers. |
| 4 |  Return to Aunt Shan's home and ask her about it. At the home's doorway eavesdrop on Aunt Shan and her guest. Talk to the Noblewoman and choose the following replies; 1. Point to the painting of beauty 2. Flutter arms 3. Nod Solemnly. You will receive the painting after this, the noblewoman will also tell you the the Cocoon Master lives in the area. |
| 5 |  Lure out the Wriggler by Reciting Poetry in the crowd and posting the painting on the Martial Board. Go north of the house and recite the poem in the open area byt the shore where the firepit is. After reciting the White-Browed Goose will attack you. After defeating the goose go to the martial board and post the painting, defeat Constable Zhang and the Wriggler will appear before you. |
| 6 |  After meeting the Wriggler you piece together the Cocoon Master's true identity. You can choose any of the choices in no particular order. Realizing that Aunt Shan is the Cocoon Master you make your way back to his house, only to walk in on Shan'er scolding her mother and threatening to burn all her moth items. |
| 7 |  Speak with Shan'er and stop her. Beat her in a Gift of Gab using the Filibuster Style. After defeating her examine the book of poems on the table. She will ask to meet you again the next day. You can use the menu to move the time forward. |
| 8 |  The next day go back to Aunt Shan's home, she will already have some visitors over. Speak with Shan'er outside to end the quest. |
