Look for Wang Fen in the Forsaken Quarter

To unlock the Wandering Tale Longing for Your Return, speak look for Wang Fen in Forsaken Quarter. She will be standing outside her home in front of Niu Mang's Food Stall.

Longing for Your Return Walkthrough

  1. Speak with Wang Fen
  2. Go Into the Unbound Cavern
  3. Defeat the Faceless
  4. Get the Old Golden Hairpin
  5. Return the Hairpin to Wang Fen

1. Speak with Wang Fen

WWM - Longing for Your Return - Speak with Wang Fen
Speak with Wang Fen, and she will tell you about how her daughter has gone missing. She will ask for your help in looking for her.

2. Go Into the Unbound Cavern

WWM - Longing for Your Return - Enter the unbound cavern
You will need to progress through the Main Story: Accident to access the Unbound Cavern, the main area where you can get the key item.

Unbound Cavern: Dark Room Location

3. Defeat the Faceless

WWM - Longing for Your Return - Defeat the Faceless
While progressing through the cavern, you will encounter the Faceless, a mini-boss, in the Dark Room. This boss is quick and will barrage you with attacks. Try and stun her to break her momentum.

The Stormbreaker Spear is a good weapon against her, with its debuff and knockdowns.

4. Get the Old Golden Hairpin

WWM - Longing for Your Return - Get the Hairpin
After defeating the boss, she will drop the item Old Golden Hairpin. At this point, you can continue progressing to finish the main quest, or you can teleport out and go back to Wang Fen.

5. Return the Hairpin to Wang Fen

WWM - Longing for Your Return - Deliver the Hiarpin to Wang Fen
Return to Wang Fen and deliver the Old Golden Hairpin to end the quest.
