Event Release: January 16, 2026 A PVP event centered on guild battles. This is a testing period that will introduce new features to the guild system. Rewards can be claimed from participation. |

Event Release: January 29, 2026 An event commemorating the final week of Season 1. |
Starting on the second week of January, an event will run in the game weekly, where players can participate in event-related activities for time-limited rewards.

A Worldly Affairs type of quest, Whispers Beneath the Moon, will release on January 25, 2026. This quest will be tied to the course of the major story quests in the game.

Where Winds Meet Interactive Map
New World Boss
The Nameless General is a World Boss that will become available on January 8, 2026. This boss will be available in the region of Kaifeng.
New Bosses in the Heroes' Realm
As of January 4, 2026, a new duo of bosses has been introduced to the weekly Heroes' Realm—the Twin Lions and the Ghost Master. Players will need to be at Level 71 in order to participate in this battle.
Solo Mode Level Cap Update
On January 4, 2026, the level cap in Solo Mode has been raised from Lv. 10-Unbound to Lv.11-Beyond Mortal. Advance beyond level 75 by unlocking Breakthrough Lv. 10!

The current running season of Where Winds Meet is Blade Out, which will run from November 14, 2026, to February 5, 2026. The next anticipated season will be Twin Bells, which will feature a new region, Hexi.

A mystic skill that will allow you to shrink to a considerable size. |
 Dragon Soars Through the Nine Heavens |
A spear-centric martial art that will reveal the form of a dragon once activated. |
 Thunderclap at the Start of Insects |
A sword-centric martial art that will engulf the player with a lightning-like surge of energy once engaged. |
The Bone Shrinking Skill will allow you to shrink and sneak into small passages. On the other hand, the Dragon Soars Through the Nine Heavens will unleash a surge of energy through your spear that will take the form of a dragon. Lastly, the Thunderclap at the Start of Insects, which will surround your character with lightning energy through your sword.
How to Unlock All Martial Arts
New Martial Arts
| Martial Arts | Description |
|---|---|
| Tang Hengdao | A katana-based Martial Art. It allows you to attack up to three hits if you miss an enemy. Provides two additional slashes after a successful parry. |
| Mo Dao | A Martial Art that lets you wield a glaive. It consists of heavy attacks. It comes with a heavy attack that can be charged against an enemy. |
| Gauntlets | A fist weapon martial art. It consists of quick rapid punches, assisted by a flying creature as you land more attacks. There has yet to be any announcement of the official name for this weapon. |
The Tang Hengdao and Mo Dao are two upcoming martial arts that will join the global launch of the game. The Tang Hengdao will let you wield a katana that is capable of unleashing a flurry of slashes. On the other hand, the Mo Dao is a glaive that inflicts heavy attacks against your enemy.
For a more rapid series of attacks, this can be enjoyed with the Gauntlets, especially during close-ranged combats.

As of the release of Velvet Shade, 6 sects have yet to be introduced to the game: Hollow Vale, The Inkbound Order, Mohist Hill, Lone Cloud, Raging Tides, and The Masked Troupe.
When Does Where Winds Meet Update?
Update for Major Updates is Every 11-13 Weeks
Major updates typically occur every 11-13 weeks when following the pacing of the Chinese releases. This already includes all major seasons and events that will introduce a huge main story update and another region in the map.
Certain features, such as side quests, collectibles, martial arts skills, and minigames, will be included in these updates as well.
Smaller Patches Every Other Week
From the current global release, there has been a shorter time frame for small patch notes and updates. However, it can be assumed that typical patch releases are scheduled every Friday of the week, as this has been consistently implemented on the Chinese servers.
