A special event that celebrates the Lunar New Year. The event will run starting on December 11, 2025 until January 3, 2026. |
 Sandstorm Tavern |
A limited-time event that will introduce the Wind and Sand Tavern intelligence hub. |
 Twin Bells (Season 2) |
The next season after Blade Out. This will introduce the next major region, Hexi, along with major story updates. |
The current running season of Where Winds Meet is Blade Out, which will run from November 14, 2025, to February 5, 2025. Fortune Beyond Parlor and The Great Faceologist are limited-time activities that will be released on December 11, 2025.
Fresh Wind, New Year is a special event celebrating the New Year holidays and was released on December 11, 2025. The next anticipated season will be Twin Bells, which will feature a new region, Hexi.

The Roaring Sands was released globally on December 11, 2025. Another major update will introduce a new region in the map, Hexi, which will initially become accessible through the Yumen Pass.

The Path of Righteousness is the last story chapter in Kaifeng, which was released last November 29, 2025. A side quest campaign also arrived on December 11, 2025 featuring a new boss, the River Master, who will be residing in the Roaring Sands Zone.
The Moon Shines on Yumen Pass is the chapter that will feature the next major region, Hexi, in the story. Following the release on the Chinese server, it will take a while before this appears in the game.

Following the game's release in China, the upcoming banners for its cosmetics gacha feature are the Secrets of Southern Xinjiang, Wandering Through Clouds and Snow, and Dragon's Roar Over the Vast Ocean. This will come along with some major updates and events in the game.

A sword-centric martial art that will engulf the player with a lightning-like surge of energy once engaged. |
The Bone Shrinking Skill will allow you to shrink and sneak into small passages. On the other hand, the Dragon Soars Through the Nine Heavens will unleash a surge of energy through your spear that will take the form of a dragon. Lastly, the Thunderclap at the Start of Insects, which will surround your character with lightning energy through your sword.
How to Unlock All Martial Arts
New Martial Arts
| Martial Arts | Description |
|---|---|
| Tang Hengdao | A katana-based Martial Art. It allows you to attack up to three hits if you miss an enemy. Provides two additional slashes after a successful parry. |
| Mo Dao | A Martial Art that lets you wield a glaive. It consists of heavy attacks. It comes with a heavy attack that can be charged against an enemy. |
| Gauntlets | A fist weapon martial art. It consists of quick rapid punches, assisted by a flying creature as you land more attacks. There has yet to be any announcement of the official name for this weapon. |
The Tang Hengdao and Mo Dao are two upcoming martial arts that will join the global launch of the game. The Tang Hengdao will let you wield a katana that is capable of unleashing a flurry of slashes. On the other hand, the Mo Dao is a glaive that inflicts heavy attacks against your enemy.
For a more rapid series of attacks, this can be enjoyed with the Gauntlets, especially during close-ranged combats.

The Roaring Sands features a campaign boss involving the River Master and a World Boss, Feng Ruzhi. This was released globally on December 11, 2025.
Additionally, more bosses are expected to arrive in Kaifeng soon, specifically the Nameless General and the Drunken Fist. The Coffin Owner is also expected to come in Qinghe as well.
New Sects

Two new PvE Content will be available on December 21, 2025. The Sword Trial: Scarlet Shock will showcase both the Sleeping Daoist and Murong Yuan while the Hero's Realm: Blazing Gale Dance will feature the Twin Lions and, once again, Murong Yuan.

When Does Where Winds Meet Update?
Update for Major Updates is Every 11-13 Weeks
Major updates typically occur every 11-13 weeks when following the pacing of the Chinese releases. This already includes all major seasons and events that will introduce a huge main story update and another region in the map.
Certain features, such as side quests, collectibles, martial arts skills, and minigames, will be included in these updates as well.
Smaller Patches Every Other Week
From the current global release, there has been a shorter time frame for small patch notes and updates. However, it can be assumed that typical patch releases are scheduled every Friday of the week, as this has been consistently implemented on the Chinese servers.
