This is a guide on how to befriend Tao Jingjing in the AI Chat menu in Where Winds Meet. Ask Tao Jingjing what she wants to say, with a list of specific AI Chat prompts.
How to Befriend Tao Jingjing
Listen to Tao Jingjing's Worries
Tao Jingjing worries about Cao Jinyang, her lover, overworking himself for both their sakes. Tell her that they should talk it out so they can fix the problem.

That fool ... honestly, what is he

(eyes wide, frowning) Oh, it's that Cao
Jinyang again. He's been working
himself to the bone for no reason. |

(sighs deeply, shaking head) Yes, Cao
Jinyang. He's not really my husband

does he insist on doing things that
make him miserable? |
| Maybe he is working hard right now so that both of you can have a better life. |
(hands on hips, voice firm) I have more
than enough wealth. His monthly
earnings barely cover my daily
expenses. He's just wearing himself out
over nothing. |
| You should talk with him. Tell him about your concerns |
(nodding, biting lip) You're right. I
need to sit down and have a serious
talk with him. He should focus on what
makes him happy, not what others
expect. |

(smiling softly, nodding) Thank you. I
truly hope so too. I just want him to be
himself and be happy. |
| (Both of them were able to talk it out) |
(sighs, a mix of exasperation and
affection in her voice) That fool ... he
probably sensed I was upset, yet still
didn't ask me why. When will he
understand? I don't need him to earn
money, I just want him to be himself. Tao Jingjing shoots a glance at Cao Jinyang, thinking to herself that he's the biggest fool in all of Kaifeng.(Affection +100, becomes Revered) |

How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.
