Veiled Blades is the 04 Jianghu Legacy found in Kaifeng in Where Winds Meet. Check this guide to find out how to solve the Contraption Locks to finish the quest and earn your rewards.

To unlock the quest Jianghu Legacy - 04 Veiled Blades, talk to the Wayfarer of Kaifeng City. To track the quest, select it from the Side Story tab of the Exploration menu and inspect it to reveal its location and start tracking the quest.

1. Learn About the Canglang Sword
| 1.1 |  Teleport to Goldwater Street and eavesdrop on the two men at the table to learn about the Canglang Sword. |

| 1.2 |  Turn around the street and follow the waypoint to a crevice under scaffolding along a white wall. Slip through to enter a courtyard, where you will meet a child Zhao Chengzong. Destroy the rock pile to help him catch “big brother”. |
| 1.3 |  Follow Chengzong along the residence. Reaching a bridge, inspect the footprints and the bloodstain indicated by the magnifying glass icon. At the middle of the bridge, inspect the table then talk to Chengzong. |
2. Stealthily Follow Chengzong
After Chengzong pushes you into the pond to hide you, stealthily follow him. Slightly to the left, leap on the rocks with a chest on it. Then, face the large gate to leap there too. Continue following Chengzong on the roofs until a cutscene triggers.
If you are spotted, you have to redo the segment.
3. Find a Way to Enter the Main Hall
| 3.1 |  Wait for Chengzong to stand by the shed. Run along the roofs to avoid detection, then drop down to talk to Chengzong. |

| 3.2 |  Follow the marker to the building. Because there are guards on the ground, it is easier to simply climb up the wall and run along the rooftop. Drop down to the building's right side to find an open door. Head inside to get the key on the table. Open the chest beside it. |
| 3.3 |  Meet up with Chengzong outside. Wait for him to convince the guards to leave the main hall, then open the door to enter. Inside, inspect the bloodstains on the carpet. |
4. Find the Secret Chamber
| 4.1 |  Chengzong will lead you to a chest in a back room with clothes. You can find a second chest to the left room of the main hall where Zhao Pu's letter is. |

| 4.2 |  In the same room with Zhao Pu's letter, use your Wind Sense to locate the Throwing Star stuck to the cabinet. View the contraption in front of Chengzong. |
| 4.3 |  A full view of the contraption will appear on your screen. Rotate the Throwing Star to fit it into the keyhole. Then, pull the lever to open the secret chamber. |
5. Venture Deeper into the Chamber
| 5.1 |  Jump into the secret chamber and head down the stairs leading to a door. You cannot push the door yourself, so you have to pull the lever alongside Chengzong to unlock it. |

| 5.2 |  Inside the area, you need to find a Hidden Weapon to open the next door. Go to the right side of the room and take the stairs to a second floor. The Hidden Weapon is on a small red box on the floor, behind a screen. |
| 5.3 |  Head over to where Chengzong is and view the contraption. Flip and rotate the Hidden Weapon to fit it into the keyhole and bring out the lever. |
| 5.4 |  Pull the lever. The shelf will reveal a passage, but releasing the lever closes it. Talk to Chengzong, who will hold the lever for you, allowing you to pass through. Open the chest to your left inside. |
| 5.5 |  Follow the path in the passage. Pull the highlighted ribbon mechanism to let Chengzong through the sliding wall. |
| 5.6 |  Team up with Chengzong again to open the door leading deeper into the chamber. |
| 5.7 |  Coming down the steps, you will see a Contraption Tower. You have to solve it by unlocking three Contraption Locks. |

Find the Three Hairpins
| Hairpin 1 |

 Go to the left side of the room where a chest is locked behind a gate. There is a shelf to the right of the gate with a red box. Take the hairpin from it. |
| Hairpin 2 |
 By the same gate is a mechanism for you to pull. This will unlock the gate, letting you get the hairpin on the red box and the chest inside. |
| Hairpin 3 |
 Go to the right side of the room with a dummy behind a gate. To the left of the gate is a cabinet. Open it to see a hole. Ask Chengzong to crawl through it, then wait for him to open the gate. Head in and take the hairpin from the dummy. |
Solve the Contraption Locks
| Contraption Lock I |

 View the double-bladed Contraption Lock in front of the locked stone door. Rotate the hairpin so that the blade fits the shape of either hole. Then, transform the hairpin to fit the other half of the hole with the second blade. |
| Contraption Lock II |
 View the four-bladed Contraption Lock facing the right gate with the dummy. Flip and rotate the hairpin to fit one half of the keyhole, then transform it to fill the other half. |
| Contraption Lock III |
 View the four-bladed Contraption Lock facing the left gate where the chest was. Like before, flip and rotate the hairpin to fit one half of the keyhole, then transform it to fit the other half. |
7. Search for the Sword Manual
After solving the Contraption Tower, enter the final chamber. Go to the left corner of the room to open the chest and get the Sword Manual. Go to the right corner and inspect the set of night attire. This will give you the Inner Ways skill Riptide Reflex.
8. Find the Way Out
| 8.1 |  Take the hairpin on the red box where the wanted poster is. This is just beside the chest. |

| 8.2 |  To the left side of the room is a large shelf. View it to solve the contraption and unlock a secret passage. |
| 8.3 |  Enter the passage and take the ladder leading back to the surface. |
9. Talk to Wei Zhixi
A cutscene will play where you and Chengzong are caught by the guards, but they will be stopped by Wei Zhixi. Go upstairs with Chengzong to talk to her and end the quest.
