 Purchase the Morale Chant tomes from Tang Bao. You'll need a total of 5000 Jade Echos to get a full set and unlock this Inner Way. |
Weiyang Merchant Tang Bao sells the ten tomes you need to learn Morale Chant. You'll find him beside the Blissful Retreat Boundary Stone and a total of 5000 Echo Jade is required to purchase the whole set. Chests, quests, events, achievements, or challanges can earn you the required Echo Jade.
The NPC Stays Here Even After His Map Pin Disappears
After certain story progress, the Weiyang Merchant's map pin may be removed. This seems to be only a visual bug because the merchant can still be found in the same location as before, beside the Blissful Retreat Boundary Stone.

| 80% chance to gain one stack of Yi River when attacking or healing. Yi River: Increases Physical Damage and healing by 1% for 8 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. The chance to gain Yi River is only calculated once every 2 seconds. | |
Morale Chant is a Legendary Internal Art that does not belong to any Path of Martial Arts and provide more general effect. This makes them perfect complimentary Internal Arts to get for a lot of builds.
Morale Chant Breakthrough Tier Bonuses

| 1 | Each stack of Yi River increases Physical Penetration by 2. |
| 2 | Increases Physical Attack Based on Solo Mode Level. |
| 3 | When the target is controlled, doubles Yi River's effect (2% bonus damage and healing per stack) and number of stacks gained (two stacks each time). |
| 4 | Increases the chance to apply Yi River to 100% and its duration to 12 seconds. |
| 5 | Increases Direct Critical Rate by 4.6% |
| 6 | At max stacks, Yi River additionally attacks or heals the target once (twice when the target is under control). This effect can only trigger once every 10 seconds. |
Upgrading Internal Arts increases their tier, allowing them to grant additional bonuses. These range from general stat improvements to enhancements of the passive effects provided by the Internal Art.
Use Internal Art Advance Items to Upgrade
To upgrade tiers, you must first reach Solo Mode Level 4, also referred to as Level 4 Roaming. Afterward, you'll need Morale Chant: Notes, which can be obtained through various means, most notably through the Tips Exchange.
