This is a walkthrough for Splendor of the Jade Palace, a Wandering Tales side quest in Where Winds Meet. See this detailed guide to check out quest objectives, what rewards you receive, and how to unlock it.

To unlock the Wandering Tale Splendor of the Jade Palace, talk to the Colorist on the bridge that connects the North Imperial Garden and South Imperial Garden.

To find the Locust Tree, use the Grand Canal Boundary Stone and travel southeast; you should be able to see the large tree from the boundary stone.
The Locust Tree will be beside a cliff with people praying before it. Change the time to the Hai Hour, then interact with the table and paint the tree.

You can find the dock north of the Petalfall Crossing Boundary Stone. Walk towards the pavilion and interact with the table to paint the flute player on the dock.
| 3.1 | ![]() To find the War God's Battle mural, go to the Martial Temple. Head to the Martial Hall south of the temple and climb up to the roof of the building. You'll find scaffolding on its left side; enter through the wooden board. |

| 3.3 | ![]() In painting mode, look up to the ceiling and paint the mural of the War God's Battle. |

After completing all the paintings, return to the Colorist at the bridge in the Imperial Garden. Submit the 3 scrolls to the Colorist, you will need to do this one by one.
After submiting all the paintings, speak the colorist again after the cutscene to end the quest.

These are all the rewards you can get by doing Splendor of the Jade Palace. The rewards listed above are the total earned as you progress through the quest and upon completing it.

So nice to name drop a mysterious painter for the mural inside the temple, and not to mention as to where he might be :D I went inside the temple and couldn't find a way to paint the mural, so I assume that speaking to this painter is required. In which case, telling us where he is would be a vital piece of information.
