How to Unlock Heavenquaker Spear
|

Steal from The Master in Heavenquaker Spear Sanctum
| Note: Stealing from masters will require you to unlock the Touch of Death Mystic Arts in order to eliminate some guards along the way. This Mystic Art can be obtained from completing The Realm Endures side story. |
| Step | Objective |
|---|---|
| 1 |  Head to the Heavenquaker Spear Sanctum, which is located on the northeast side of the map. There are multiple landmarks that you can use to teleport to this area. If you have them unlocked, you can use them to get there faster. |
| 2 |  You will need a Dragon Key to enter, which will be consumed in order to access the hidden passage. Interact with the Loong Herm Dragon Pillar to proceed. |
| 3 |  Descend toward the cave until you reach the area with the two Militiamen. You will see a chest to your right that you can obtain later. Go left, drop down to the ledge below, and assassinate the Militiaman near it. |
| 4 |  The next two targets are directly in front of where you will land. Wait for the patrolling militiaman to head right, then assassinate him. Take care of the other militiaman afterwards. |
| 5 | 
Once you have taken care of the two Militiamen, head down the stairs until you reach the lowest floor. You will encounter a locked door, which is accessible later on, so you can ignore this for now and go further down instead. Open the door in front of the ramp to get the first chest. |
| 6 | 
Head back out of the room and make your way to the ladder on the other side. Wait for the patrolling militiamen to be outside the line of sight of the others, then assassinate them one by one. The next chest is hidden in a small alcove to the right of the ladder, past the crates. |
| 7 | 
Climb the ladder and continue to the upper floors. Assassinate the lone Militaman behind the crates, then continue upward. Go all the way to the top, where you'll find the chest you saw when you first entered the hideout. |
| 8 | 
After opening the previous chest, turn around. You'll see the next one on the horizon, near the statue. Grab it before proceeding. |
| 9 | 
Head back to the area behind the third chest and assassinate the two guards. Then, interact with the lever to open the previously locked gate below. |
| 10 | 
Head back down to the previously locked door on near the bottom floor, and wait for the militiamen to look away before heading inside. Immediately go left upon entering, to get to the next chest. |
| 11 | 
After grabbing the fifth chest, assassinate the two militiamen nearby and examine the floor bellow. There will be a patrolling Militiaman whom you will want to assassinate in order to descend quickly. Stick to the left as you descend, then follow the path to the last chest. |
| 12 | 
To return to the upper areas, you will need to deal with the static and roaming Militiamen in the room. Assassinate the first two roaming Militiamen. Then, jump over the crates next to the Militiaman on the right and assassinate him first. Next, deal with the Militiaman looking directly at the stairs leading back up. |
| 13 | 
Continue heading up the stairs until you find the blue circle you need to step on. Go there and perform a Skill Theft to obtain the Heavenquaker Spear Martial Art. |
Join the Raging Tides Sect
You can unlock the Heavenquaker Spear Martial Art by joining the Raging Tides Sect and fulfilling their requirements.

Heavenquaker Spear Special Skills

Swing the spear to deal damage to nearby enemies. |
Special Skills can be unlocked by unlocking the seventh node on the talent tree. Once unlocked, you'll be able to use the martial art's heavy attacks.
Heavenquaker Spear Martial Skills

| Sober Sorrow |
Spin the long spear with full strength, performing six consecutive sweeping attacks against nearby enemies and dealing massive damage. |
The Martial Skill is the default skill you can use for your chosen martial art. There are no other prerequisites to unlocking the Martial Skills and can be used immediately after starting the game.
Heavenquaker Spear Light Attacks

Swing a long spear and perform up to four light attacks. |
Light attacks are part of the default moves you get to use at the start of the game.

Charged Skill Consume Endurance to charge, then unleash a flurry of thrusts with a long spear, dealing multiple hits to enemies ahead. |

Swing a long spear and perform up to three heavy attacks. |
Charged skills and heavy attacks can be unlocked by unlocking the third node on the talent tree. Once unlocked, you'll be able to use the martial art's heavy attacks.

Conversion or Dual-Weapon skills can be unlocked by unlocking the third node on the talent tree. Once unlocked, you'll be able to use the martial art's heavy attacks.

While airborne, swing the umbrella horizontally to deal damage. |

Open an umbrella to block incoming attacks. |
| Umbrella - Dodge |
Dash a short distance in a short time. |
| Umbrella - Execute |
Deal massive HP damage to Exhausted enemies. |
| Umbrella - Jump |
Use lightness skill to leap. |
| Umbrella - Jump Strike |
Deliver a powerful downward kick in mid-air, dealing damage. |
| Umbrella - Recovery |
Quickly recover after being knocked down. |

Use Sober Sorrow to Gain Damage Buffs
Sober Sorrow is a consecutive combo that lets you gain a buff depending on the number of hits you deal on a target.
Sober Sorrow Works With Bleed
One unique interaction with Sober Sorrow is it counts bleed damage with its combo. This will let you get 5 hits even against single target foes which will usually be the case against bosses. This will let you get the 2nd tier buff of the skill, making it stronger.
Use Sweep All After Sober Sorrow to Use its Buff
Sweep All is a strong AoE skill that gets bonuses depending on the buff you get from Sober Sorrow. The more hits you deal with Sober Sorrow, the stronger the benefits you gain.

The weapon the Heavenquaker Spear works well with is the Bellstrike - Umbra weapon pair, Strategic Sword. Heavenquaker Spear's main gameplay involves around bleed and damage bursts while Heavenquaker relies on the bleed that the Strategic Sword makes to trigger buffs from Sober Sorrow which it can also use after swapping back to Heavenquaker Spear.
This cycle lets both weapon synergize with each other, creating a seamless rotation of damage bursts, DoT, buffs, and debuffs.
