To unlock this Encounter, you need to find Old Jun sitting outside Ash Pit in the Forsaken Quarter. You have to tip him 5 coins three times for three in-game days to trigger the quest. Note that Old Jun and his dog Ha Ha only appear between the Wei and You hours.
Ballads and Pawprints Walkthrough
| Step | Objectives |
|---|---|
| 1 |  After successfully triggering the Encounter, talk to Old Jun, who will sing a song for you with his dog Ha Ha. |
| 2 |  Set the time to the next day to find Old Jun alone with Ha Ha missing. Talk to Old Jun, who will direct you to the nearby Unbound Cavern's hideout to search for Ha Ha. |
| 3 |  At the hideout, eavesdrop on two thugs cooking a meal. Defeat them and inspect their pot. You will thankfully realize that Ha Ha was not hunted by the thugs for food. |
| 4 |  Head into another alley in the quarter, where you will see two beggar children. Eavesdrop on them before confronting them about the animal in the cage. Open the cage to free the cat. Then, return to Old Jun to report your findings. |
| 5 |  After Old Jun decides to accompany you to find Ha Ha, you will arrive at Granny Ren's house. Inspect Granny Ren's cage to find Ha Ha lying inside, ill. Help Granny Ren treat Ha Ha by finding the special herb in the Unbound Cavern's hideout again. |
| 6 |  At the Unbound Cavern's hideout, return to where you fought the thugs cooking their meal. There is an open house with an herb bag on the table. Take it and go back to Granny Ren to give her the herb. |
| 7 |  After Granny Ren treats Ha Ha, return to Ash Pit on the next day at Wei hour. Simply change the time in the menu. Talk to Old Jun, who will sing a song again with Ha Ha, to end the quest. |
