How to Befriend Lu Kangge
Encourage Lu Kangge to Write a Different Story
Ask Lu Kangge about what happened and he will tell you that the stories he follows from Aunt Han aren't real. Since he is downhearted, convince him to follow other stories rooted from truth instead and write them to inspire other people. This will make the AI think favorably. Just keep cheering him up until he befriends you.
Example of Successful Conversation
(face pale, clutching his scrolls tightly) How could this be ... all false? I staked everything on this tale, poured ink and soul into it! And now-my pen name, Wright N. Vain, feels like a cruel joke ... for I've truly been writing in vain !! |

(voice shaky, eyes wide with disbelief) Who indeed? Aunt Han, with her tales and fables! I trusted those stories, delved deep into research, only to find nothing but a mirage! Months of research, and now... back to square one!! The writing's on the wall, my book is doomed!!! |

How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.
