You can get the sword as soon as you start the game, fully equipped with its corresponding Martial Art, Nameless Sword. Additionally, you can get an extra sword, alongside other gear types, from the peddler, Xiong Da, at Heaven's Pier for 500 coins apiece.
Nameless Sword Guide and How to Unlock

Alternatively, you have a chance to get a copy of Sword from completing Boss Battles, such as Heartseeker, Qianye, and The Void King. These bosses are usually locked behind Campaign quests, which means you have to complete their corresponding quests first to unlock them!

Outpost Challenges are overworld locations that rewards players a random gear after defeating the required number of enemies per location. Alternatively, players can use their current profession to complete these challenges and get the same amount of reward.

Players can also get Swords, alongside other gear types, from the Season Shop by purchasing Gear Chests for 100 Jade Fish. The set that each gear chest yields can be selected before buying them, however, the tier of the weapon it contains is randomized!

Another way for a chance to get Swords are by completing Sword Trial Games, a multiplayer game mode where you have to defeat a set number of enemies to complete the challenge. Each enemy wave yields one chest that contains a random gear, and an entire challenge consists of at least 5 waves!

Players can also get random chest gears from completing Taiping Mausoleum stages. Each stage rewards players one random gear, whose tier depends on the difficulty of the stage!

| Stat Group | Set Effects |
|---|---|
HawkwingWeapon |
2 Set Effect: +0.1% Affinity Rate
4 Set Effect: When any of your damage triggers Affinity, gain Hawkwing: Increases Physical Attack by 2% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. |
EagleriseArmor |
2 Set Effect: +1 Physical Defense
4 Set Effect: Dealing damage over time or healing grants 1 stack of Eaglerise: Reduces damage taken by 1.2% for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. At max stacks, receives an Eagle Guard effect that reduces the next incoming damage within 10 seconds by 90% (halved when the damage comes from a boss). This effect can only trigger once every 30 seconds. |
The best set bonus to use when equipping the Strategic Sword with the Heavenquaker Spear are Hawking and Eaglerise sets, which complement this Bleed build thereby ensuring a 100% uptime to Eaglerise. Moreover, Hawkwing's frontloaded damage is supported by Affinity that further increases your Physical Attack, saturating your final DMG dealt on top of the bleed stacks!

SwallowcallWeapon |
2 Set Effect: +27 Min Physical Attack
4 Set Effect: Light Attacks deal 15% more damage against targets with less than 40% Qi and 5% more damage against Exhausted targets. |
CalmwatersArmor |
2 Set Effect: +13 Physical Defense
4 Set Effect: A Perfect Dodge of an enemy attack has a 50% chance of restoring 3% of your Max HP and 10 Endurance. |
For the Nameless Sword and Nameless Spear combo, your best sets are Swallowcall and Calmwaters, as these synergize well with Nameless Sword's gameplay! Furthermore, Calmwaters provide some decent sustainability to your character, especially during the first few stages of the game.
Nameless Spear and Nameless Sword Build
| Recommended Substats for Sword | |
|---|---|
| Attack ★★★★★ |
Attack is the best stat for Swords, regardless of variant and build, since they are able to dish out huge amounts of DMG compared to other gear types. Prioritizing attack above all else will help you whittle down enemy HP more easily in Solo and Multiplayer mode! |
| Affinity Ratio ★★★★★ |
Improving your Affinity Ratio allows for chunkier affinity strikes which overall improves your damage output. And while Affinity attacks aren't as relatively important in Bleed builds, they're still a staple among other main DPS builds that relies on frontloading their DMG thru their hits! |
| Crit % | Crit DMG ★★★★ |
Another good substat to have with DPS weapons such as Swords is Crit. Improving your Crit Ratio (and your Precision Rate) increases your damage output just like Affinity does, but since Crit is more convoluted and less straightforward than Affinity, it's better to funnel your substat priority to Attack and Affinity Ratio first, before anything else! |
