What Is Affinity

Damage Seperate From Critical Strike

Affinity

Affinity is increased damage dealt that is separate from critical strike. To understand it better, keep in mind that critical strike is anchored on your precision rate. Hence, the chance of it hitting is limited by the precision rate and then the critical rate.

However, affinity rate procs whether you hit precise hits or not. Making it more effective even if it has a lower rate percentage than the critical rate.

Damage Calculated From Maximum Damage

Affinity damage is always calculated at the maximum damage possible. It deals 20 percent more of your maximum damage.

In comparison, critical damage deals 40 percent more of your attacks, but it is calculated with your true damage, whether it is the minimum or maximum one.
