Approach the Area South of Velvet Shade Landmark

Petal's Lament automatically unlocks after approaching the area south of the Velvet Shade landmark

Petal's Lament Walkthrough

  1. Speak to Meng Jiaqi
  2. Go to the Bamboo Grove in Velvet Shade
  3. Speak to Li Fuyu
  4. Return to Meng Jiaqi

Speak to Meng Jiaqi

Speak to Meng Jiaqi

Speak to Meng Jiaqi who is standing nearby a carriage where there are petals on the ground. She'll ask help solving a riddle so she can track the location of Master Li.

Inspect the Falling Flower Poem

Inspect the Falling Flower Poem

Inspect the Falling Flower Poem on the ground next to the carriage.

Pick the second option interested in the last two lines regarding the fragrance beneath the bamboo.

Go to the Bamboo Grove in Velvet Shade

Go to the Bamboo Grove in Velvet Shade

Make your way to the bamboo grove just outside the Veltvet Shade and listen in on the Rich Lady.

A short cutscene will play which reveals the location of Master Li who is overlooking the scene on the roof above.

Speak to Li Fuyu

Speak to Li Fuyu

Head up the second floor roof of Velvet Shade and speak with Li Fuyu. Your dialogue choices here don't matter and only change how he responds to you.

If you choose the Rebound option on the last dialogue choice, however, you'll match Li Fuyu's eloquence and you'll leave him flustered.

Return to Meng Jiaqi

Return to Meng Jiaqi

Return and speak to Meng Jiaqi and you'll have the option to tell her the truth or hide something. You can choose any response for this and it will only change how she'll react, and she'll still demand the location of Li Fuyu.
