How to Unlock Great Hero's Trial

Unlocked After Speaking to the Wayfarer of Verdant Wilds

Unlock Req. Ask the Wayfarer at Verdant Wilds

The Great Hero's Trial Wandering Tale is unlocked after speaking with the Wayfarer of Verdant Wilds. After unlocking the area map, open your journal and select the Wandering Tales under the exploration tab to find the first clue.

Great Hero's Trial Walkthrough

  1. Talk to Rongrong
  2. Cut the Thickest Tree
  3. Shoot the Highest-flying White Bird
  4. Scale the Ladderless Tower
  5. Give the Three Tags to Rongrong

1. Talk to Rongrong

WWM - Talk to Rongrong

Teleport to Bamboo Abode and head eastward into the bamboo forest until you reach a stone pavilion by a waterfall. Talk to Rongrong, who will ask you to complete three trials on her behalf to earn the Great Hero's Secret Tome.

Complete the Great Hero's Trials

  1. Cut the thickest tree.
  2. Shoot the highest-flying white bird.
  3. Scale the ladderless tower.

2. Cut the Thickest Tree

WWM - Cut the Thickest Tree

Find the thickest tree slightly northwest of Rongrong's location. You will see an Aureate Pavilion Archer there. Hit the tree until it falls over. You will receive the Hero Tag, completing the first trial.

3. Shoot the Highest-flying White Bird

WWM - Shoot the Highest Flying Bird

Find the highest-flying white bird further west from the first trial. Climb up the mountain, going past flocks of white birds, until you reach the highest point. There will be a lone white bird flying in the sky.

You can activate the Mystic Skill Still Waters to make it easier shooting it down. Once downed, take the Of Tag to finish off the second trial.

4. Scale the Ladderless Tower

WWM - Scale the Ladderless Tower

Find the ladderless tower down south from Rongrong's location. The tower is located by a lake. Climb up by hopping on the wagon and reaching the ledge. From there, jump to the top and pick up the Proof Tag. This ends the third and last trial.

5. Give the Three Tags to Rongrong

WWM - Give All the Tags to Rongrong

Return to Rongrong and submit all the Tags to her to end the quest.

・5,000 Coins

just restart the game and it will spawn again n once you cut down..don't move around much..it worked for me

Hi! This might be a bug in the quest. You may need to abandon and then redo the quest to obtain the Hero tag. Hope this helps!
