Multiplayer is Optional

Where Winds Meet offers two types of modes to play in the beginning: Shared Journey for multiplayer and Lone Wanderer for single-player. The multiplayer mode is purely optional unless deemed necessary, such as battling difficult bosses or fortresses.

While not purely MMO, Where Winds Meet does possess some MMO elements when played in multiplayer mode, such as the existence of sects, PVPs, raids, and others.

Multiplayer via Online Mode and Co-Op

# How to Access Multiplayer Mode

Click on Mode Switch
On top of the screen, there is an icon of a person wearing a hat. Tap on that icon to find the mode selection screen.

Select Online Mode
Click on Online Mode to interact with other players.

Opt for Co-op Mode in Solo Mode
Alternatively, you can play multiplayer through co-op mode. Choose Solo Mode in the left selection, then click on the Solo/Co-op button.

Type in Player Credentials
Type in a player's credentials in the search bar. It can be a friend's ID or you can randomly select anyone displayed in the player list. Click on the player's profile whom you wish to invite over.

There are numerous ways to activate multiplayer mode in the game. You can either mode switch to Online Mode or invite other players through Co-Op Mode, which is found in the Solo Mode selection on the left side of the screen.

If you find another player nearby, click them, and it will immediately display some player prompts. You can select more multiplayer activities by clicking on any of the choices found in the prompt screen.

Form a Party with Friends via Co-Op

Form a Party via Co-Op

Form a party with 4 other players in exploring the open world. You can solve puzzles, defeat bosses, and participate in mini games or events together.

Form Up to 10 Party Members Against Sentinel Beings

You can form a party of up to 10 members in battling challenging Sentinel Beings scattered throughout the overworld.

Chat with Others in Online Mode

Chat with Others in Online Mode

By switching to Online Mode, you can access all the features you can do with other players, especially with your added friends. By going to the Social section of the Menu, you can participate in group chats that you are a part of or message a friend privately.

Heal Each Other for Severe Illnesses

One of the unique gimmicks of the game is how some illnesses or injuries, such as in-game bone fractures, cannot be healed by an NPC medic alone. To resolve this, you will need to find another player who can heal you, which is only possible by playing multiplayer mode.
