The Missing Funds Wandering Tale is unlocked after speaking with the Wayfarer of Moonveil Mountain. After unlocking the area map, open your journal and select the Wandering Tales under the exploration tab to find the first clue.
The Missing Funds Walkthrough
1. Talk to Jia Fu
Teleport to the West Heaven's Pier Boundary Stone. Talk to Jia Fu the merchant, who will tell you that his bundle was robbed by thieves.
2. Retrieve Jia Fu's Bundle
To find the thief, turn around and follow the path to the village. Use Wind Sense to find Bandit Feifei, spying by a fence. It is easier and more convenient to simply snatch the bundle with Celestial Seize, though there are different ways of attempting to retrieve the bundle:
Confront Bandit Feifei
Simply approach Bandit Feifei and press the prompt to Confront him. Bandit Feifei will only turn you away.
Ask Nicely for the Bundle
You can try to convince Bandit Feifei to give the bundle by asking nicely. You can do this by activating Wind Sense and selecting Jia Fu's bundle from Bandit Feifei's item list, then request it from him. The success rate is only 10%, so this is likely to fail.
Seize the Bundle by Force
Request the bundle from Bandit Feifei but select the Seize option instead. This has a success rate of 70%, so it is possible to retrieve the bundle with this method. However, you run the risk of being spotted by an eyewitness for this crime.
If spotted, you need to immobilize the witness with Meridian Touch and convince them to drop their charge against you in a Gift of Gab debate.
3. Give the Bundle to Jia Fu
Return the bundle to Jia Fu. As a reward, Jia Fu will give you the Dragon Crest Token: Wind. You need this item to complete the Wandering Tale Cant of the Jianghu.
