List of Contents
Top PvE weapon pairings right now include Strategic Sword + Heavenquaker Spear, Soulshade Umbrella + Panacea Fan, Thundercry Blade + Stormbreaker Spear, and Vernal Umbrella + Inkwell Fan.
With the latest patch, Vernal Umbrella + Inkwell Fan has climbed into S tier, thanks to Lingering Bone giving Inkwell Fan a major power boost and much stronger overall synergy.
For PvP, the top weapon combinations are Strategic Sword with Nameless Spear and Infernal Twinblades with Mortal Rope Dart (Bamboocut - Wind Build).
Strategic Sword with Nameless Spear excels at spacing, applying CC and DoT, and preventing enemies from closing gaps or safely setting up AoE attacks. Infernal Twinblades with Mortal Rope Dart focuses on massive burst damage, with Rodent Rampage and Addled Mind enabling sudden kills with very little room for counterplay.
| Builds that can easily get you through the game. It has a low skill ceiling, which makes it beginner-friendly and allows for easy progress in the game. | |
| Builds that can be on par with S-tier ones but have certain flaws that S tier builds simply do not have. | |
| Builds that have clear issues and may make PvE or PvP content more difficult compared to other builds in the list. |
This tier list is only meant to reflect the early capabilities and effectiveness of the different paths in the game. Every weapon can perform well in the hands of the right player, so despite having weapon rankings, we still recommend choosing whichever path you find enjoyable to play!

Soulshade Umbrella
|
Panacea Fan
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Heals and sustains your team or yourself, great for multiplayer and solo survivability, but deals low damage and heals less against first-time bosses. |
Balances constant and burst healing for high survivability in PvP. Deals chip damage over time but has limited close-range options against aggressive players. This requires practice, patience, and flawless use of mystic skills to pull off. |
The Silkbind - Deluge has a strong focus on healing and sustain. It's great in multiplayer, letting you keep both yourself and your team topped up while staying safely in the fight. Damage isn’t the headline here, but your survivability absolutely is. Thanks to steady healing and solid defensive tools, you can handle solo content and outlast many bosses through pure staying power.
One catch: your healing takes a hit when facing bosses for the first time, so expect those early attempts to feel rougher. PvP is a different beast too. This build can work in PvP, but it demands patience, sharp timing, and smart use of mystic skills. You're not there to burst people down, but to outlive, outplay, and slowly take control of the fight.

Strategic Sword
|
Heavenquaker Spear
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Easy-to-play bleed setup that skyrockets in damage once 5 stacks are applied with Wolfchaser. |
Strong against tanks with DoT and AoE cleaves; effective stance breaker. |
A bleed focused setup that gets huge damage buffs from Heavenquaker Spear. This build may seem subpar at first, but once you're able to reliably gain 5 bleed stacks from enemies, which can be done with the help of Internal Art - Wolfchaser, this build's damage skyrockets while being easy to play.

Nameless Sword
|
Nameless Spear
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Combines melee and ranged attacks for fast combat, rewarding skillful play and stamina management. High damage potential but demands precision to fully shine. |
High damage, gap-closing, and stagger pressure; less effective than top DPS combos. Charge attacks are pretty unreliable in PvP and tough to land against real players. |
A high mobility build that lets you weave in and out of combat via melee strikes and ranged wave attacks. The only reason we have this at A tier is that while it has the damage output to resolve fights quickly, it has a higher skill ceiling and requires better stamina management than the other builds, while providing almost just the same benefits. However, this build shines more the better you can maximize its skill rotations and combos.

|---|---|
Vernal Umbrella
|
Inkwell Fan
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Decent mobility with strong ranged attacks, excels against humanoids but struggles with non-humanoids. High learning curve and risky float mechanic limit its effectiveness. |
Long-range DPS with constant single-target damage. Can block projectiles. It requires slow and methodical approach during PvP, and can be overwhelmed by very aggressive players. |
The Silkbind - Jade setup offers solid mobility and naturally leans toward a ranged-focused playstyle rather than scrapping up close. It rewards clean execution and smart positioning, letting your umbrella skills hit surprisingly hard as long as you maintain your buffs and keep your rotation tight.
With the addition of Lingering Bone, the build gets an even bigger power spike. Being able to trigger a strong attack skill off Peak's Springless Silence adds real burst potential to a kit that already thrives on safe pressure and sustained control.
In PvP, this build lives and dies by movement and spacing. You need to maneuver carefully, control the distance, and pick your moments, using positioning to stay safe while chipping away and setting up your stronger skill windows.
Vernal Umbrella and Inkwell Fan Build

|---|---|
Thundercry Blade
|
Stormbreaker Spear
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Heavy-hitting, tanky setup that reduces incoming damage and boosts enemy damage taken. Excels in multiplayer but slow and lacks solo sustain. |
Crowd control immunity, can apply CC, block damage, and close gaps while negating damage. Faster or longer-range builds can play keep-away, poking you down and abusing their speed advantage. |
This build is all about soaking hits and swinging back hard. You trade speed for raw presence, using Stormbreaker Spear’s Roar to cut incoming damage while Thunder Shock cranks up the damage enemies take. The result is a bruiser-style tank that can stand in the thick of things and still put out serious numbers.
It’s slower than most other weapon setups, so positioning and timing matter a lot. Where it really pops off is in multiplayer, acting as a true frontline anchor. If your team needs someone to hold aggro, control space, and survive the chaos, this is the go-to tank build.
In PvP, Thundercry’s Sunrush Gale can be deceptively powerful. If opponents get caught in it, they’re basically locked down and forced to eat the follow-up, unless they have Serene Breeze ready to break out.

|---|---|
Infernal Twinblades
|
Mortal Rope Dart
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
High-speed, multi-hit build with damage and lifesteal buffs. Strong in skilled hands but risky due to high skill cap and unreliable lifesteal |
Massive burst damage that can quickly surprise enemies. Rodent Rampage and Addled Mind create quick bursts with minimal counterreaction. |
The Bamboocut - Wind build is a PvP menace, built around rapid multi-hit pressure and a stacking damage effect that rewards relentless offense. Its high attack speed lets you snowball damage fast, especially when you stay glued to your target and keep the combo flow going. It’s an assassin through and through.
In PvE, though, it lands more in B tier. The build has a high skill ceiling and access to a damage + lifesteal buff, but that sustain often isn’t strong enough to cover how aggressive you need to play. Push too hard without clean execution, and you can burn yourself out just as fast as the enemy.

Thundercry Blade
|
Soulshade Umbrella
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Solo-focused tank build that uses passive healing to safely charge Thundercry Blade attacks, letting you group enemies and unleash strong burst or AoE damage. |
Damage, CC immunity, and healing; lacks mobility and gap-closing. Long-ranged and fast players will outpoke you. |
This is a solo-tanking setup that capitalizes on Soulshade Umbrella's passive healing to let Thundercry Blade focus on charged attacks. Utilize the Umbrella's constant healing so you can charge hits and take damage while grouping enemies up for strong burst and / or AoE attacks.

Vernal Umbrella
|
Mortal Rope Dart
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Hybrid ranged DPS, effective at both far and close range, boosting burst windows, though these weapons have no synergy. That said, these weapons don’t actually synergize with each other. |
Mid-to-long range setup with heavy CC and ranged pressure, using pokes and disables to kite enemies and set up lethal combos. |
This build revolves around mid- to long-range control using the Rope Dart’s heavy crowd control and the Vernal Umbrella’s ranged pressure. You’re constantly playing at arm’s length, poking safely and waiting for the perfect moment to lock someone down.
The goal is to kite, frustrate, and bait mistakes. Once an enemy gets caught in your CC chain, you can roll straight into lethal combo damage before they have a chance to recover. Drop Vernal Umbrella’s Unfading Flower, then go to work with Rope Dart.

Nameless Sword
|
Strategic Sword
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Mobile dual-sword setup that pokes with Nameless Sword ranged attacks or detonates Strategic Sword DoT for massive burst damage. |
Aggressive pressure, controls battlefield momentum, quick repositioning. |
This is a dual sword build focusing on the Nameless Sword and Strategic Sword. Each weapon follows similar playstyle with mobility in mind but focuses on different aspects in combat. Utilize Nameless Sword's ranged attacks to poke and deal heavy damage from a distance or use Strategic to cause DoT and pop those for huge burst damage.

Strategic Sword
|
Nameless Spear
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Versatile build combining spear crowd control and burst with sword mobility and bleed for high overall damage, but requires careful Endurance management. |
Creates distance, applies Crowd Control, DoT, and prevents enemies from closing in or safely setting up their AoE attacks. |
The Nameless Spear excels at crowd control and committed burst, while the Strategic Sword mirrors the mobility of the Nameless Sword, but instead of skirting around enemies, it dives in, weaving through combat to apply bleed and amplify overall damage.
In PvP, this hybrid build is especially good at wearing down tanky opponents. The steady damage-over-time pressure, paired with your ability to lock targets down, makes it solid at controlling the pace of a fight and slowly tipping trades in your favor.

Nameless Sword

Heavenquaker Spear
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
PvE mob-clearing build with multiple AoE sources, turning chaotic fights into controlled, high-damage sweeps. |
While this build shines in PvE, its performance in PvP takes a slight hit due to a lack of reliable disables. Despite this, it remains a strong and versatile choice. |
This build fuses the Heavenquaker Spear with the Nameless Sword for a PvE-focused setup that thrives on clearing mobs. With multiple sources of AoE damage from both weapons, you can effortlessly shred groups of enemies, turning chaotic encounters into controlled, high-damage sweeps.

Nameless Sword
|
Panacea Fan
|
| PvE | PvP |
|
Beginner-friendly PvE build with high DPS, strong burst, and solid sustain, letting you heal heavily and resurrect allies. Other healers will love you. |
Nameless Sword remains a strong PvP pick with reliable burst and pressure. Panacea Fan, on the other hand, struggles. Healing is nerfed, and swapping to it for recovery feels clunky compared to the passive sustain of Soulshade Umbrella. |
This setup combines the Nameless Sword with the Panacea Fan to create a build that hits hard while keeping you comfortably alive. The Nameless Sword excels at slicing through enemies with fast, high DPS, while the Panacea Fan provides reliable sustain and clutch revives.
This build lets you play aggressively without worrying about staying on your feet.
