How to Unlock Love in Ashes
Eavesdrop on Yaoyao and Zhen Ai on the Scaffolding in the Thousand-Buddha Village

Jianghu Legacy - Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept
|
To unlock the Encounter Love in Ashes, you will need to complete the Jianghu Legacy Quest Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept. After completing the mission, climb the scaffolding accross the Graceful Melody Marker between the Zi and Chou hours. Once the NPCs spawn eavesdrop on their conversation.
If the NPC doesn't spawn, try and talk to another and NPC on beside the statue and go down the scaffolding. Climb back up and they should spawn .

| Step | Objectives |

| 1 |  After eavesdropping on Yaoyao and Zhen Ai’s conversation, confront Yaoyao about her resurrection con. To prove her skill, she will ask you to go and gather Datura King from Mercyheart Town. |
| 2 |  Travel to Mercyheart Town and gather the Datura King at the specified waypoint. Be careful of the enemies lurking around town. Return to the Thousand-Budha Village and submit the flowers to Yaoyao. |
| 3 |  After delivering the flowers, Yaoyao will ask to meet you the next day at the Zi hour. Use the menu to move the time forward as needed. |
| 4 |  Once you reach the right time, speak with Yaoyao. A thick mist will suddenly appear, and she will warn you that the resurrected do not like fire. Below the man from Zhen Ai’s painting will suddenly appear. Follow Zhen Ai and investigate the man. |
| 5 |  Shoot a fire arrow at Mr. Yu, and he will burn away and will be revealed as a paper puppet. Chase after Yaoyao to get Ai’s money back. |
| 6 |  Shoot a fire arrow at Mr. Yu, and he will burn away and will be revealed as a paper puppet. Chase after Yaoyao to get Ai’s money back. |
| 7 |  Ai will still be crying where you left her, interact with her, and she will start attacking you. Block and parry her attacks to defeat her. |
| 8 |  After defeating her, she will confess that she knows that Yaoyao is a fake, but wanted a Paper Puppet of Mr. Yu regardless. Tell her where Yaoyao went to end the quest. |
