How to Unlock The Dogs Know First
Unlocked After Speaking to the Wayfarer of Moonveil Mountain

The Dogs Know First Wandering Tale is unlocked after speaking with the Wayfarer of Moonveil Mountain. After unlocking the area map, open your journal and select the Wandering Tales under the exploration tab to find the first clue.
The Dogs Know First Walkthrough
- Look for Butter the Dog
- Find a Meaty Bone for Butter
- Save the Man from Butter
- Give the Mysterious Token
1. Look for Butter the Dog
Teleport to the Heaven's Pier - Brewery Backyard Boundary Stone. You will see a dog, Butter, barking at a man huddled by a tree. To pacify Butter, you need to find a bone.
2. Find a Meaty Bone for Butter
You can find a Meaty Bone near the entrance to Heaven's Pier. It is beside an NPC named Mu Bai.
3. Save the Man from Butter
Return to Butter and feed it the Meaty Bone. After saving the man, he will leave but will drop something on the crate. Take the Mysterious Token, or the Dragon Crest Token - Yin. Reading the item description in your Bag, you can give the token to Unfated Tian or Tang Bao.
Note that you receive the same quest rewards no matter who you give the token to.
4. Give the Mysterious Token
Give the Token to Tang Bao
Teleport to Blissful Retreat to find the merchant Tang Bao at the entrance. Giving the token to him, he will cryptically vow to take revenge on someone. This will end the quest.
Give the Token to Unfated Tian
Teleport to Evercare Clinic and find Unfated Tian sitting behind the clinic. If you give him the token, he will request that you do not ask about it and that he has something to deal with. This will also end the quest.
