Players can obtain Body Armor, along with other gear types, from the Season Shop by purchasing Gear Chests for 100 Jade Fish. You can select a specific tier of gear chest, then choose the desired gear set before opening it. Opening the chest grants a random piece of gear from the chosen set and tier, which may include Body Armor.
Access the Season Shop from the Menu by selecting Seasons then the Season Shop to the bottom-right.

Outpost Challenges are overworld locations that reward players with random gear after defeating the required number of enemies. Claiming rewards from Outpost Challenges requires Energy after the first clear.

Boss Challenges are Energy‑consuming activities that allow you to challenge campaign bosses again for gear rewards, including Body Armor. Bosses must first be defeated in the campaign before they can be unlocked as Boss Challenge enemies.
Each Boss Challenge boss drops specific gear sets, while the tier of gear depends on your Solo Mode Level.

Sword Trial is a multiplayer game mode that offers generous rewards, including possible Body Armor from the gear chests it provides. In this mode, you and your teammates must defeat waves of enemies or bosses to complete the challenge.
Each wave yields one chest containing random gear, and a full challenge consists of at least five waves.

When choosing a Set Bonus for the Body Armor slot, it is recommended to aim for the 4‑piece bonus due to its powerful effects. While the list above shows recommended gear sets for general use, consider switching to a set bonus that synergizes better with your specific build.
| Role | Recommended Substats |
|---|---|
| DPS | Power, Agility, Momentum, Max Physical Attack, Precision Rate, Critical Rate, Affinity Rate, Crit DMG Bonus, Affinity DMG Bonus |
| Tank | Body, Defense, Max HP, Physical Defense, Precision Rate, Min Physical Atk |

The desired substats you want to get from tuning equipment will depend on your Build and role during multiplayer sessions. Listed above are our recommended general stats to look for for each build archetype.
DPS builds should focus on getting as much damage in with Precision, and boost the damage output through Crits or Affinity hits. Tank and supportive roles, however, can focus on being as tanky as they can then get offensive and healing-related stats if possible.
