This build revolves around the Strategic Sword and a high-mobility, hit-and-run playstyle. You weave in and out of fights, using dashes, gap closers, and smart pressure to chip opponents down while avoiding heavy trades.
It truly shines in PvP, where mobility and decision-making matter more than raw damage. You punish mistakes, deny healing, and control the pace of the fight. f you enjoy outmaneuvering opponents instead of face-tanking them, this build is built to dance.

Path: Bellstrike - Splendor |
Strategic Sword and Nameless Spear form the core of this build, with both weapons reinforcing the same aggressive gameplan from different angles.
Nameless Spear brings the crowd control and committed burst. It locks targets down and capitalizes on damage windows with heavy pressure once you’re in. Strategic Sword, on the other hand, mirrors the Nameless Sword’s fluid style, but instead of weaving out to disengage, it weaves inward to stay in the fight. While maintaining that close-quarters pressure, it constantly procs bleed, setting up sustained damage that the spear can later amplify and cash in on.

|---|---|
Morale Chant |
100% chance to gain one stack of Yi River when attacking or healing: Increases Physical Penetration by 2 and damage and healing by 1% for 12 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. The chance to gain Yi River is only calculated once every 2 seconds. |
Sword Horizon |
After casting Strategic Sword's Martial Art Skill, Special Skill, or Charged Skill, press the skill button at the perfect timing during the ending phase to cast Crisscrossing Swords and unleash follow-up attacks. If the target has 5 stacks of Bleed, remove all Bleed stacks and deal high Bleed damage once. |
Adaptive Steel |
Gain a Weapon Mastery effect based on your current Blade Weapon. The Weapon Mastery effects (see below) have the following cooldowns: Sword - 6 seconds, Dual Blades - 10 seconds, Heng Blade - 20 seconds.
Possible Effects: ・Sword: 100% chance to apply one stack of Bleed to the target when dealing Affinity DMG. ・Spear: Attacks ignore 12.5% of target's Physical Defense. ・Dual Blades: After a Perfect Dodge, increases the next Martial Arts Skill damage within 8 seconds by 25%. ・Mo Blade: Increases the Critical DMG of Charged Skill and Parry Counter Skills by 20% ・Heng Blade: After a deflection, increases the damage of Light/Heavy Attack Varied Combo by 5% for 5 seconds. |
Battle Anthem |
Increases Charged Skills' damage against all bosses by 10%. |
Morale Chant is a top-tier staple because it provides consistent Physical Damage scaling through Yi River stacks, giving the build reliable sustained amplification in every encounter. Sword Horizon synergizes directly with Strategic Sword’s bleed application, adding powerful follow-up strikes and increasing overall bleed pressure as it scales through higher tiers.
Adaptive Steel complements the hybrid spear-and-sword setup by granting conditional bonuses like defense ignore and additional bleed triggers, reinforcing both burst and sustained damage. Finally, Battle Anthem enhances charged skill damage, making your primary burst windows significantly stronger, especially in boss fights where maximizing committed damage matters most.
| Inner Way | Details |
|---|---|
Vital Leech |
Casting Exhaustion Execution Skill restores HP equal to 8% of the damage dealt. |
For PvP, trade Battle Anthem for Vital Leech as it turns your execution pressure into self-sustain.

|---|---|
Dragon's Breath |
Drink to enter Intoxicated. Breath fire with Qi, dealing damage over 2 hits plus Ignition. Gain 15% Damage Reduction and Fortitude. Intoxicated: Lasts 30s. Dragon's Breath and Drunken Poet can be used without drinking. Ignition: Target takes damage every 0.5s for 8s. |
Drunken Poet |
Drink deeply to enter the Intoxicated state, imitating the drunken grace of the Poet Immortal. Cast repeatedly for up to 5 strikes, each consuming 6 Vitality. Intoxicated: Lasts 30s. Dragon's Breath and Drunken Poet can be used without drinking. |
Cloud Steps |
Stomp on an enemy's shoulder to deal Physical Damage, other Attribute Damage effective against Cavalry and other units with Unstable Poise. |
Soaring Spin |
Channel your Qi into a roaring thrust, dealing damage to units along the path. Then suddenly shift stance into a spiraling follow-up strike that catches enemies off-guard. Hitting a target reduces their Healing Received by 60% over 5s. |
Triggering Burn through Dragon’s Breath and then activating Drunken Poet detonates that damage-over-time into a sharp burst window, turning steady pressure into explosive payoff and making the combo far deadlier than either skill alone.
Meanwhile, Cloud Steps serves as a reliable gap-closer to keep uptime high, and it becomes especially clutch in mobile encounters against mounted bosses like Sleeping Daoist and Ye Wanshan, where sticking to your target is half the battle.
Lastly, use Soaring Spin when you need an extra gap closer. It deals solid damage and reduces enemy healing, making it especially strong in PvP.
| Mystic Arts | Effects |
|---|---|
Wolflike Frenzy |
Knock down an enemy, followed with rapid strikes, and finish with an upward swing that disables the target. Effective against Cavalry and other units with Unstable Poise. Unstable Poise: These units have a Stance bar near their HP. Stance-break deals special hit and Physical damage. |
Serene Breeze |
Channel Qi into your body to clear blockages in the veins. Can be used while under attack or control effects. On hit, reduces the target's Endurance recovery by 50% and deals damage for 8s. |
Leaping Toad |
Flip back to knock back and damage enemies, then lunge to apply Toad Venom. The third cast becomes Golden Toad Crash, a knockdown AoE slam. Toad Venom: Explodes after 5 seconds or on death. Can be Detonated by Lion's Roar. |
Aside from the Mystic Skills we chose for PvE, Serene Breeze becomes essential in PvP, giving you a reliable escape tool to break out of crowd control, disengage from enemy chains, and create space to reset the fight. Meanwhile, Wolflike Frenzy provides explosive burst potential and grants Super Armor during its execution, allowing you to maintain offensive momentum without being easily interrupted.

HawkwingWeapon |
2 Set Effect: +0.1% Affinity Rate
4 Set Effect: When any of your damage triggers Affinity, gain Hawkwing: Increases Physical Attack by 2% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. |
EagleriseArmor |
2 Set Effect: +1 Physical Defense
4 Set Effect: Dealing damage over time or healing grants 1 stack of Eaglerise: Reduces damage taken by 1.2% for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. At max stacks, receives an Eagle Guard effect that reduces the next incoming damage within 10 seconds by 90% (halved when the damage comes from a boss). This effect can only trigger once every 30 seconds. |
For our set gear, we want to focus on the Hawkwing set. With our multiple dots and hits, we'll have more chances to trigger affinity and get the 10% damage bonus rapidly with the set.
For defensive gear, Eaglerise excels with our playstyle. Because it rewards damage over time, which this build produces constantly, with stacks that reduce incoming damage, you get built-in mitigation on every tick of bleed or burn you apply. At max stacks, you also gain Eagle Guard, which significantly reduces the next big hit you take, giving you a powerful burst defense layer during intense boss windows.

2 Set Effect: +13 Physical Defense
4 Set Effect: A Perfect Dodge of an enemy attack has a 50% chance of restoring 3% of your Max HP and 10 Endurance. |
For PvP, consider switching to Calmwaters if you're confident in your dodge timing. It rewards Perfect Dodges with steady health and endurance recovery, giving you more staying power in extended fights and helping you maintain pressure without draining your resources.
| 1st | Min/Max Bellstrike |
| 2nd | Affinity |
| 3rd | Power |
| 4th | Max Physical Attack |
| 5th | Momentum |
Bellstrike remains your highest priority because it directly enhances your core damage windows and scales extremely well with your charged and burst skills. Affinity follows closely, improving your overall offensive consistency and amplifying the build’s sustained pressure. Power and Max Physical Attack both strengthen your base scaling, ensuring every ability, bleed tick, and charged strike hits harder.

5 Bleed stacks is the Strategic Sword's game and activating effects from it such as Crisscross Slash and Inner Balance Strike III is key to amplifying your damage output. Always use these skills before bleed effect expires to capitalize on damage output.
Storm Dance (Nameless Spear's Charged Attack) is a high damage move but it requires a stationary target to be effective. Use Qiankun's Lock to stop enemies then follow it up with Storm Dance for high DPS. You can also combo it by using a bleeding skill from Strategic Sword first before immobilizing enemies to trigger DoT on enemies while you're comboing with relentless spear hits.
In PvP, you’ll primarily rely on the Strategic Sword for its mobility and hit-and-run playstyle. Approach each fight with that mindset: strike, disengage, then reposition. Use the dashes and movement from the Strategic Sword’s abilities to avoid heavy damage and stay in control of the pace.
