How to Unlock Soul Upon the Strings

Approach the Pipa Player in Cleardew Terrace

Soul Upon the Strings Map Location
Region Liangzhou Town, Hexi

After tracing the sound of the Pipa, you will encounter a Pipa Player sitting down near the gravestones and playing the instrument. Approach her to unlock the quest Soul Upon the Strings.

Soul Upon the Strings Walkthrough

Step Objectives
1
Objective 1
The first thing you must do after following the sound of the pipa is to approach and talk to the musician. She will invite you to have wine, but first you must acquire a missing string for her pipa. She will give you a hint to go further towards the graveyard, where you can find the item.

Objective 2
Upon reaching the graveyard, you will encounter a few enemies. Defeat the enemies to clear the area.

Objective 3
After defeating the enemies, you'll be able to find a needle-like light sitting on top of the rock, near the tree. Approach the Bloodstained Hair and retrieve it.

Objective 4
Submit the Bloodstained Hair to the pipa player.

Objective 5
After giving the musician the item, she will instruct you to return to her the next day to collect your rewards. Change the time to Si Hour of today.

Objective 6
Drink the wine to finish the quest!
