A Cloudless Night
|
To unlock the Man in the Well Encounter in Qinghe, approach the well at the entrance of General Shrine on a cloudless night. You will hear a voice coming from inside the well, triggering the quest.
Man in the Well Walkthrough
| Step | Objectives |
|---|---|
| 1 |  On a cloudless night you will hear a voice coming from the well in General Shrine. Approach the shrine and ask after the owner of the voice, he will tell you that he is hiding. After the conversation ends move the time forward the day after tomorrow at the Zi hour. Call into the well again to speak with Li Wa. |
| 2 |  Li Wa will ask you to bring him some Braised Pork Belly Slices. Go to Heaven's Pier and get some from Yuan Xianxian's food stall. Go back to the well during the Zi hour and throw the Braised Pork Belly inside the well. |
| 3 |  Li Wa will tell you that he also wants freedom. Bring him your old red clothes from your room in Blissful Retreat. Go back to the well and wait until the Zi hour to throw the red clothes in the well. You will be interrupted by a Street Urchin behind you. Defeat the Street Urchin and try to speak with Li Wa again, but he won't answer back. |
| 4 | Move the time forward to the day after tomorrow at the Zi hour. Check the well again and speak with Li Wa; he will ask to meet you at the well in Blissful Retreat tomorrow at midnight. You will promise to bring him your Private Stock of wine. |
| 5 | Check around the well for anything unusual. You will see the same Street Urchin lurking around the well. He has heard your conversation with Li Wa. Wait until the Zi hour of the next day. |
| 6 | Go back to your room in Blissful Retreat and grab the Vintage Wine from the shelf beside the window. Speak with the Beggar Boy outside your room. He will steal your wine and pretend to be ill and faint. Stay with him until he wakes up. |
| 7 |  Once the boy wakes up speak with him again before going to the well in Blissful Retreat. Unfortunately, you will find a body with a missing head wearing your old robe. The quest ends with this discovery. |
