There are weapons that restrict double jumping, as well as areas with restrictions, in Where Winds Meet. Find out why you can't do a double jump in this guide.

Why Cant I Double Jump?

Restricted by Weapon

Players using the Mo Blades are unable to perform double or triple jumps if the weapon is equipped.

It's likely a trade-off and balancing decision to decrease the Mo Blade's mobility since the Thundercry Blade, which is a Martial Art that the Mo Blade uses, has plenty of built-in survivability.

You can switch weapons to perform double or triple jumps during exploration.

Restricted by the Area That You Are In

Lightness Skill.png
If you cannot perform a double or triple jump despite using the correct weapon, you are most likely in an area where lightness skills are restricted. A double or triple jump actually uses a Lightness skill called Threefold Skywalk.

Lightness skill restrictions are common in NPC residences, quest areas, and dungeons.

How to Use Lightness Skills

A notification will pop up if you enter a lightness skill restricted area. You can hover over it and check the upper left corner of your screen, just below the minimap.

Indoor areas with NPCs inside typically have lightness skill restrictions. This includes indoor quest areas, inside NPC residences, and other similar buildings.

Naturally, dungeons will have most, if not all, Lightness Skills restricted to prevent you from bypassing the mechanics of the dungeon. This includes sections of the main story, as well as side quests that have a dungeon encounter within them.

How to Unlock Double and Triple Jump

Unlocked by Default

The Threefold Skywalk Mystic Skill is what allows you to do double and triple jumps. It is unlocked by default after you finish the introductory sequence at the beginning of the game.

Jumping consumes endurance, and each consecutive jump consumes the same amount of endurance.
