Where Winds Meet Gear Durability Explained

Gear durability determines its ability to perform in combat in Where Winds Meet. Find out how to repair gear and learn what gear durability is for in this guide.

How to Repair Gear

Steps To Repair Gear

1 Open your bag.
During gameplay, open the main menu and your bag.
2 Select the piece of gear you want to repair
Select the piece of gear that you want to repair. For your convenience, the gear you are currently wearing will appear at the top of the menu.
Click on the repair button
Once you have selected the gear you want to repair, click on the repair button.
Note: The repair function will not appear if your gear is at its maximum durability level.
3 Press Confirm
Press confirm, and your gear's durability will be restored back to full.

You can repair gear at any time outside of combat, provided you have the necessary materials. The materials needed for repair differ based on the piece of gear you are trying to repair and, as well as its rarity.

Determines Combat Effectiveness

A piece of gear's durability stat determines its effectiveness in combat and whether it can still provide bonuses to the weapon. Fortunately, a weapon's performance isn't linearly affected by gear durability; it only stops providing bonuses when durability hits zero.

Gear Durability Decreases Upon Death

Gear durability only decreases upon death, and this applies to all currently equipped gear. If you often die due to a difficult boss or combat encounter, check your gear's durability from time to time to ensure that broken gear isn't holding you back.
