To unlock the Wandering Tale Forget Not, go to Starveil Grassland and look for Huang Chenqing crying under a tree with ruins beside it. This location is close to the Abandoned Zhang Manor. You can find him during the night between the Zu and Mao hours.
| Step | Objectives |
|---|---|
| 1 | ![]() Speak with the crying boy underneath the tree in Starveil Grassland. He will tell you that he lost his mom’s birthday gift. You will offer to help look for the gift, a gold hairpin, that he lost near Anlan Pavilion, in a teahouse called Anlan Teahouse. |
| 2 | ![]() Southwest of where the boy was, go near the cliff and look for a gazebo. Ask Master Bu’er for the Anlan Teahouse’s location. He will tell you that the teahouse is long gone; a flood two years ago wiped it out. The old location of the teahouse has been taken over by the Xuanyuan Cult. |
| 3 | ![]() You can find the camp of the Xuanyuan Cult a short distance behind the fence that Master Bu'er is leaning on. Go near the camp and eavesdrop to find out that they have found the hairpin. |
| 4 | ![]() Attack the camp and defeat all the enemies. You can claim the two chests located in the camp. To find the hairpin, go to the larger chest and select search. |
| 5 | ![]() Go back to Huang Chenqing at night and give him the hairpin. You can choose any option to answer his question. After speaking with him, move the time forward to the Zi hour. |
| 6 | ![]() At the Zi hour, you won't find Huang Chenqing in his usual spot. Climb up the tree and find his ghost on one of the branches. Relieve his memory of the flood and how he died waiting for his mother. Keep trying to convince him to leave the tree, but he refuses to leave. Once dawn arrives, Wu Xiangang will be crying at the foot of the tree. Give her the hairpin to end the quest. |
