How to Unlock Faith Against Odds
Get the Lion's Roar Skill and Conquer the Outpost in Buddha Fort

To unlock the Faith Against Odds Encounter Quest, you will first need to get the Lion's Roar Mystic Skill. You can do this by ringing the 4 four bells in Qinghe. After obtaining the skill, conquer the Buddha Fort Outpost, then walk towards the camp where the Honest Monk is being held.
How to Unlock Mystic Skill: Lion's Roar

To unlock this quest you need to have the Lion's Roar Skill. Ring the four copper bells arround Qinghe to learn it.
How to Unlock Lion's Roar Mystic Skil
Conquer the Buddha Fort Outpost
Clear all the enemies in the Buddha Fort Outpost, there will be 16 Rogue Monks to defeat and one elite enemy. if you have already unlocked Lion's Roar approaching the quest area should unlock Faith Against Odds.
Change the Time if the Quest Doesn't Trigger
If the quest still refuses to unlock change your time from afternoon to late afternoon until it triggers.
Faith Against Odds Walkthrough
| Step | Objectives |
|---|---|
| 1 |  Eavesdrop on the conversation between Tongchang and Tongbian. They have captured the Humble Monk, who has been talking nonstop since he was taken. Stop the two Bandits from burning him alive by defeating them in battle. Make sure to have the Lion's Roar equipped before you start. |
| 2 | After defeating the duo, climb up the tower and rescue the Humble Monk. He is disappointed that you have interrupted his lecture; he will ask you to read the Three Thousand Queries of Dharma to the Bandits. |
| 3 | After a short cutscene, Zhao Maokang will arrive. Defeat him in battle using the Mystic Skill Lion's Roar. After dealing with the Bandits, you will ask for a copy of the Three Thousand Queries of Dharma. The Humble Monk will tell you to go to the Docks in Bamboo Abode for a copy. |
| 4 |  If unlocked, you can use the Northern Bamboo Grove Boundary Stone to teleport closer to the quest area. Speak with Bu Gan at the docks to get a copy of the book to end the quest. |
