This beginner-friendly build centers on Nameless Sword as the primary damage source, with Nameless Spear used strictly for utility. You can easily weave in and out of combat or unleash waves of qi from afar, but all of these are limited by your stamina, so managing your stamina is key to making the build truly shine.
The playstyle revolves around building a shield, unleashing multi-wave burst during Sword Morph windows, then resetting with stamina recovery tools and spear utility skills.

Path: Bellstrike - Splendor |
The Nameless Sword and the Nameless Spear are both great standalone weapons, and both can be used primarily when in combat. However, the Nameless Sword focuses on mobility and lets you weave ranged hits or move in and/or out of combat.
The Nameless Spear, on the other hand, has heavy and more committed combos as well as some utility skills that let you use charged hits for heavy DPS.

Sword Morph |
When Noname Sword's Charged Skill, Vagrant Sword is charged while the Qi shield is present, it unleashes multiple additional sword energy attacks at the 2nd charging stage. You can consume bonus Endurance to increase the sword energy's damage; each Endurance increases damage by 1%, up to 20%. |
Morale Chant |
80% chance to gain one stack of Yi River when attacking or healing. Yi River: Increases Physical Damage and healing by 1% for 8 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. The chance to gain Yi River is only calculated once every 2 seconds. |
Battle Anthem |
Increases Charged Skills' damage against all bosses by 10%. |
Adaptive Steel |
Gain a Martial Skill effect based on the blade weapon you are using. The Martial Skill of Sword has a 10-second cooldown, while Dual Blades' Martial Skill has a cooldown of 25 seconds. |
Inner Ways for the Nameless Sword and Nameless Spear build should focus entirely on its own Inner Way path except for swapping Wildfire Spark for Morale Chant to help maximize your damage output. These Internal Arts also focus on reducing your energy consumption, which is mandatory for the Nameless Sword and Nameless Spear's heavy stamina playstyle.
They also provide the damage boost you need against bosses and give the valuable Sword Morph that lets you fire additional sword waves from the Nameless Sword's ranged wave attacks.
Make sure to upgrade Sword Morph as fast as you can as it becomes truly powerful in the mid tiers, early tiers unlock the multi-wave mechanic, Tier 3 adds stacking sword energy damage, and Tier 4 makes it much easier to chain burst windows, while higher tiers further boost affinity scaling and eventually change how your combo rotation flows.
You may also consider swapping Adaptive Steel with Mountain's Might you want even smoother stamina flow instead of bleed pressure.

Dragon's Breath |
Drink to enter Intoxicated. Breath fire with Qi, dealing damage over 2 hits plus Ignition. Gain 15% Damage Reduction and Fortitude. Intoxicated: Lasts 30s. Dragon's Breath and Drunken Poet can be used without drinking. Ignition: Target takes damage every 0.5s for 8s. |
Drunken Poet |
Drink deeply to enter the Intoxicated state, imitating the drunken grace of the Poet Immortal. Cast repeatedly for up to 5 strikes, each consuming 6 Vitality. Intoxicated: Lasts 30s. Dragon's Breath and Drunken Poet can be used without drinking. |
Soaring Spin |
Gain Mirage Status. Mirage: Lasts 20s. Reduces Endurance cost of ground dodge skills by 40% and slightly increases Untargetable duration. |
Cloud Steps |
Gain Mirage Status. Mirage: Lasts 20s. Reduces Endurance cost of ground dodge skills by 40% and slightly increases Untargetable duration. |
Apply Burn with Dragon’s Breath, then follow up with Drunken Poet to convert that lingering damage into an explosive burst. Used together, the combo hits much harder than either skill would on its own.
Soaring Spin is your tool for staying on top of opponents, letting you quickly close distance and keep up the pressure when they try to peel away. Cloud Steps adds dependable mobility for chasing and repositioning, and it becomes even more valuable in fights against highly mobile or mounted enemies like Sleeping Daoist and Ye Wanshan.

|---|---|
Wolflike Frenzy |
Knock down an enemy, followed with rapid strikes, and finish with an upward swing that disables the target. Effective against Cavalry and other units with Unstable Poise. Unstable Poise: These units have a Stance bar near their HP. Stance-break deals special hit and Physical damage. |
Serene Breeze |
Channel Qi into your body to clear blockages in the veins. Can be used while under attack or control effects. On hit, reduces the target's Endurance recovery by 50% and deals damage for 8s. |
Leaping Toad |
Flip back to knock back and damage enemies, then lunge to apply Toad Venom. The third cast becomes Golden Toad Crash, a knockdown AoE slam. Toad Venom: Explodes after 5 seconds or on death. Can be Detonated by Lion's Roar. |
Meridian Touch |
Chance to immobilize, deal Physical damage, and break Vital Points. Immobilize is ineffective against mighty enemies. Vital Points: These enemies have bound Qi bars. Breaking their Vital Points disables Qi regen, deals extra Physical damage and Qi Damage. |
Beyond the Mystic Skills used in PvE, Serene Breeze is a must-have for PvP, giving you a reliable way to escape enemy combos and crowd control so you can reset the fight, reposition, and stay alive. Leaping Toad offers quick mobility for repositioning or disengaging, apply poison, and for knocking down, while Wolflike Frenzy adds strong burst potential backed by Super Armor, letting you commit without being easily interrupted. Meridian Touch further enhances your pressure by disrupting Qi regeneration, opening up clean windows to execute your burst combos.

HawkwingWeapon |
2 Set Effect: +0.1% Affinity Rate
4 Set Effect: When any of your damage triggers Affinity, gain Hawkwing: Increases Physical Attack by 2% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. |
FormbendArmor |
2 Set Effect: +13 Physical Defense
4 Set Effect: Your shield duration is extended by 2 seconds. If youy have more than 85% Qi or a Qi damage immunity shield, reduce all HP damage taken by 20%. |
For your set gear, Hawkwing is the most consistent offensive option for this build thanks to Nameless Sword’s frequent multi-hit sword energy attacks. Since you’re constantly landing affinity damage during burst windows, Hawkwing stacks Physical Attack quickly and reliably, letting your damage ramp the longer you stay on target.
Formbend, on the other hand, provides essential survivability. Because Nameless Sword regularly generates Qi Shields as part of its combo loop, Formbend extends those shields and reduces incoming damage while protected, allowing you to stay aggressive during burst phases with much less risk. This setup can be used for PvE and PvP.
| 1st | Affinity Rate |
| 2nd | Momentum |
| 3rd | Max Physical Attack |
| 4th | Max Bellstrike Attack |
| 5th | Critical Rate |
Prioritize Affinity Rate first to maximize crit-based synergies and overall damage consistency, followed by Momentum to keep your combat flow smooth and your output steady. After that, stack Max Physical Attack and Max Bellstrike Attack to strengthen your core damage sources, with Critical Rate as a secondary finisher to further improve your burst potential.

When the boss becomes exhausted, you can swap to Nameless Spear and unleash the Heavy Charged Skill Storm Dance for strong burst damage. If you’d rather keep your flow going, you can stay on Vagrant Sword and continue applying steady pressure instead.
As mentioned in the rotation, you can weave the Dragon’s Breath → Drunken Poet combo in right after Soaring Spin. You can also use the combo after landing an execution or successfully hitting Qiankun’s Lock, as both moments give you a brief window where the enemy is vulnerable.
To keep your pressure smooth, you can animation-cancel Dragon’s Breath once the Burn is applied, letting you transition faster into Drunken Poet or reposition if needed. This makes the combo harder to punish and much more practical in real fights, especially in PvP where long animations can get you interrupted.
In PvP, this build is all about using whichever option fits the situation best. If you land Qiankun’s Lock, you’ll usually have a safe window to follow up, and Storm Dance is a strong choice for dealing heavy damage while the target is stunned.
Regardless of your follow-up, the buff from Qiankun’s Lock helps you gain an endurance advantage and maintain momentum in the fight.

4. Hold and execute your Charged Skill to release sword waves. 5. Activate Shadow Step follow-up to close the gap again. This doesn't actually work. Sword morph is to trigger 3 waves. Shadow step follow up window will expire before you can charge and do 3 waves. Even if you time it to release at the earliest, you can't get 3 waves out before your shadow step expires. Which means you can't close gap.
