How to Unlock Recipe’s Heir

Eat All the Meals from the Food Stalls in Qinghe

Unlock Req. Eat All Local Meals in Qinghe

To unlock the Encounter Recipes Heir, you will need to eat all the local cuisines in Qinghe by purchasing them from the Food Stalls in towns. The quest will automatically unlock after consuming the 10th meal.

Heaven's Pier Harvestfall Village Finesteed Hamlet Mercyheart Town

There are five food stalls across Qinghe, with each stall selling two dishes, a Signature Dish and a Home-Cooked Meal. Meals are not purchased with coins but with commerce coins. To purchase a Home-Cooked Meal you will need to be at least Acquiantance level of friendship.

Signature dishes are 15 Commerce Coins, and Home-Cooked Meals are 50 Commerce Coins. You will need a total of 325 commerce coins to purchase all ten needed meals.

Recipe’s Heir Walkthrough

  1. Go to the Tea Stall
  2. Join the Test to Become an Apprentice
  3. Mourn the Pheasant
  4. Speak with the Old Man
  5. Watch the Other Cook
  6. Heal Boss Xie
  7. Set Up Your Stall
  8. Sell Your Crispy Pheasant
  9. Give Food to the Beggar
  10. Find Boss Xie

1. Go to the Tea Stall

WWM - Recipe
After the quest triggers, fast travel to the Northern Vown Ruins. Near the southwest corner of the ruins, you will find Boss Xie cooking at the Stove in the tea stall.

2. Join the Test to Become an Apprentice

WWM - Recipe
Speak with Boss Xie, and join his test to become his apprentice. He wants you to bring back a magic pheasant. Follow the waypoint and hunt the pheasant. You can shoot it with an arrow from a distance to avoid spooking it.

3. Mourn the Pheasant

WWM - Recipe
Bring the pheasant back to Boss Xie. For the second test, he will ask you to mourn for the pheasant. Follow the waypoint to a secluded spot.

4. Speak with the Old Man

WWM - Recipe
As you mourn the pheasant, an Elder will mistake you for a ghost; speak with him. He will tell you a story from three years ago about a wild ghost. Retrieve your pheasant and go back to Boss Xie.

5. Watch the Other Cook

WWM - Recipe
Wait for the cut scene to finish. Afterwards, stand by the stove and watch the other person cook. Ask Boss Xie to eat your Crispy Pheasant.

6. Heal Boss Xie

WWM - Recipe
After tasting the others’ crispy pheasant, you urge Boss Xie to try yours, and he faints. Use Healers’ Art to cure him of Indigestion. You will need a mastery of at least 2300 to succeed.

7. Set Up Your Stall

WWM - Recipe
Speak with Boss Xie again, and he will ask you to find an alternative location to set up your stall. Follow the waypoint to the spot. This will lead you to Heaven’s Pier on a spot near the board.

8. Sell Your Crispy Pheasant

WWM - Recipe
After you set up your stall, start selling the crispy pheasant. A wealthy merchant will come, and a cut scene will play out. After the cut scene, catch the Beggar stealing from your stall.

9. Give Food to the Beggar

WWM - Recipe
You will give all your products to the beggar. He will like you, Crispy Pheasant, and tell you about the master chef from the Palace of Annals. Return to the Tea Stall in Battlecrest Slope and speak with Boss Xie.

10. Find Boss Xie

WWM - Recipe
When you arrive at the stall, all the leftover crispy pheasant is gone. Use Wind Sense to find Xie. Speak with Boss Xie to end the quest.
