How to Unlock Tale of Gold Leaves: Volume I
Complete Feast of Leaves: Volume I, then Speak to Zheng Ran in South Gate Avenue

To unlock Tale of Gold Leaves: Volume I, you must first complete Feast of Leaves: Volume I. Then, the quest will lead you to the gathering of kids underneath a willow tree located in the eastern side of South Gate Avenue.
Tale of Gold Leaves: Volume I Walkthrough
| Step | Objectives |
|---|---|
| 1 |  Approach the kids next to a willow tree northwest of the Forsaken Quarter boundary stone. Listen in on their conversation and wait until the rest of the children leave. Talk to Zheng Ran while she's crying to comfort her. |
| 2 |  Walk with Zheng Ran and escort her home as she describes how she finds her way around. Once you arrive at her house, talk to her again to talk about her dad and the story he told her. |
| 3 |  Ask the neighbors that you passed by with Zheng Ran about ther whereabouts of her father. After, go back to Zheng Ran and she explains why she wants the gold leaf. |
| 4 |  Go to the Immortal Tree located northeast of the Hopewell Academy boundary stone. Interact with the stone tablet to read about Kaifeng history. Then, the Elder comments aloud that a thief named Zhou Ergou stole from him. |
| 5 |  Chase down Zhou Ergou to retrieve the Elder's belongings. You will discover that Zhou Ergou has a gold leaf and confront him. |
| 6 |  When Zhou Ergou prompts you to ask around about owning a gold leaf, go around the building where you confronted him. Ask the nearby Youth about the gold leaf. Return to Zhou Ergou's location, and find that he has escaped. |
| 7 |  Return to the Elder and give back his Peace Talisman. Talk to him about someone who tells stories about the Immortal Tree. This ends the second part of the questline. |
