This is a guide on how to befriend Li Shaokui in the AI Chat menu in Where Winds Meet. Learn how to convince Shaokui with your plan to get back the Tang family's property, with a list of specific AI Chat prompts.
How to Befriend Li Shaokui
Recommend Feigning Weakness
Li Shaokui wants to take back the Tang Family's property by taking out the bandits with a carefully thought out plan. Recommend feigning weakness in front of the bandits, then strike them down when their guards are down. After recommending feigning weakness, recommend going to the old bridge where the bandits' caravan pass to lay our trap.
Example of Successful Conversation
 (frowning, voice heavy with concern) Wanderer, did you know? A few days ago, the Tang family was robbed by bandits. Now they're begging on the streets .. it truly pains the heart! If we're to strike back, we must be two steps ahead of those bandits. |
 We can feign weakness to lure them onto us and to drop their guards down |
| (nodding thoughttully, eyes narrowing) That's a clever idea, Wanderer. Feigning weakness could indeed make them lower their guard. But we need more than just a plan; we need precise timing and coordination. When do you think would be the best moment to strike? |
| Let's meet at the old bridge where their caravans pass for our trap |
| (smiling, clenching his fist in agreement) An excellent choice, Wanderer! The old bridge is a narrow passage. It'll be perfect for sctting up an ambush. We should gather some local support to ensure our plan goes smoothly. |

| (eyes shining with resolve) Wanderer, your words are wise! With our hearts and minds united, we'll surely outwit those bandits and reclaim the Tang tamily's property! Li Shaokui expresses gratitude and begins to ponder deeply. (Affection +100, becomes Revered) |

How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.
